Q: Is Cheniere unique enough to pay up here (with converting to the the so-high U$) or are there TSX alternatives you would recommend? Thanks!

Q: Hi, we have energy sector exposure through, CNQ,SU,TOU and ENB. There are several reasons for owning the sector through CDN companies, primarily for Dividend Tax credit in the Non Regd accounts and also their relatively lower risk profile and size. We have not invested in US Oil, and Gas/Pipeline companies, except a small holding in XLE.
CNBC guests/traders, frequently recommend the US companies listed in the question and it appears that all these stocks are doing well. ( OXY - with 20% ownership with Warren Buffet }. My question is that, in Canada, do we have Energy companies with similar product/business profiles to these US names. And, if so, for a Balanced 5i Portfolio risk profile investor, is the sector well represented with these four CDN companies ? Current Portfolio Weight: CNQ/SU/TOU: 9% ENB:6% Total-15%.
Thank You

Q: Wondering if you could explain the difference between LNG and its sub CQP. Do they both produce nat gas? CQP pays a much greater dividend. Does one carry more risk than the other? Which would you buy if only one of them could be bought? Appreciate your input.
Q: What are the best alternatives for investing conservatively in large cap LNG , without investing directly in a U.S. situs asset ? There are very significant U.S. estate tax issues for high net worth Canadians with U.S. situs assets . A Canadian sponsored ETF with U.S. holdings or a large cap conservative Canadian company would avoid the estate tax issue .

Q: The Canadian energy sector is doing fantastically well. ( Especially mid cap companies like Whitecap). I have some American money I would like to invest and would appreciate, if possible, some suggestions of both American oil and natural gas companies that you think might have considerable upside as we move forward in 2022/2023. Thanks as always for your insight and support.
Q: Your opinion on Cheniere (LNG) as compared to Tourmaline (TOU) would be appreciated.
My thinking it might be a little less challenged with the ongoing problems of getting Canadian gas to the international market.
Thanks
