Q: Not so much a question but an insight into how a Company should be run. Last dividend payout from Grenvillewas late in my I Trade account, I phoned ITrade, they had no idea why. I have my Grandsons' paper route money invested in GRC and they missed their payouts too so I contacted Genville's Customer Relations by email they responded immediately that they had paid CSD and that ITrade must be to blame. Another phone call to ITrade, still no idea. CSD contacted ITrade and dividends were paid. The surprising part was Bill Tharp the CEO phoned me at 7pm BC time to apologize for ITrade's problems He said he had personally looked into the problem and hoped I had not been inconvenienced and also that it would not happen again. It was NOT the Company's fault and I appreciated him going the extra mile to keep his investors happy.
I don't know if it is appropriate to publish this, I will leave it to your discretion but I was impressed and thought you would like to know.

Q: The common stock has gone up slightly over the past 12 months whereas the pref. has gone from near par to ~$16. I am thinking of taking a position in the pref. (already have some of the common). Can't seem to find much info. - is it a perpetual? Am I missing something? Thanks.

Q: Do you know BPY.UN took such a nose dive since January 2016 that saw its SP went from $32 to now $26 (almost 19% in about a month and a half)?

Earnings for the year came out on 2/05/2016 and it was solid though not outstanding, any speculations here?

Q: I am baffled why this preferred is such a dog. I also own a preferred ETF (CPD) in my RRSP that is tanking.

Q: I purchased GC in 2015 and am currently down 27%. It's rated B in your rankings. The stock price is down to at best sideways, it does not pay a dividend. Not a lot of positives to say.

!)Would you hold it given where it is and the outlook.
2)If not, what would you replace it with that won't be 'dead' money?

I currently own all 3 of your portfolios.

Q: I sold my Teck, unfortunatly in an RRSP, and am watching it closely in order to buy back in if it turns. I noticed today that was a big jump of over 25 per cent in the stock price. I also noticed that a number of analysts had raised their projections on Teck and that at least some of them commented on the debt that Teck carries and said that they think it can pull it off, thus the reason for the more positive projections. Would these ananalysts alone be enough to give this kind of boost? Or, has something else changed?
