Q: Please deduct number of credits that you deem appropriate. I essentially follow and hold your balanced equity portfolio. It is supplemented with the following US stocks. JPM, STZ, SPOT, NVDA, GOOG, TEAM, UTX, HXL, BIIB and WYNN.

I originally bought WYNN for a trade on the recent dip caused by the Steve Wynn situation. Should I keep it as a long term position or take my profits and look elsewhere.

I have funds for one more position. Do you have any suggestions or should I add to some of the stocks I have.

Are there any of these stocks that you would sell and if so what would you suggest for a replacement.

Thank you for your service! I am sure someone else will ask but please let us know about your thoughts on SIS earnings release. It looked like a miss.

Q: Dear 5i
I just want to verify with you when you generally recommend a max amt of 5% in any one stock you mean 5% of the total of all individual stocks held plus cash held right ?
You generally don't include ETF`s of stocks such as ZDM,ZWH,VFV,and VGG of which i own .I`m including the cash component because of the intent to eventually use that cash to buy more stock .
I just want to be sure I'm understanding this correctly and not unintentionally investing far more in one stock then what i should be .

Q: I keep a small portion of my portfolio for trading opportunities. With volativity back in the market, can you recommend a few stocks that you would 'trade' in this market. I am currently trading cpg and valeant. Any other ideas?

Q: thoughts on wjx...I own a 0.5 position, down about 30%....seem to be out of the worst, revenues on target, div at 4% ....hold for the possible recovery in oil and gas that will fuel recovery of wjx sales and margins or move to another industrial? Might need the tax loss later in the year as I sell some unregistered holdings to pay down the mortgage...but no strong need to sell.

Q: Hi, I have been thinking for quite awhile to sell Bell,as it is not looking great, and buy Telus, for income first and growth second.
I would like to do this for a 4-5 year hold. Would you agree that I would be better off with Telus in the long run with a little more growth, as i’am fine with 4.5% dividend?

If i own a stock that pays a 4% dividend thats paid quarterly and i`ve got $10,000 invested then the quarterly amt paid would be about $100 correct ? ie 4% of 10k divided by 4 .

Q: What would your opinion be for switching out of CGX for TSGI at this time? I have held CGX ,2% of Portfolio, for several years and with the decline of approx. 50% I am thinking of selling all and purchasing TSGI with the assumption TSGI could be considered Consumer Discretionary sector.

Q: Hi there,

I'm hoping I5 can convince me not to buy Hashchain Technology Inc.

Looking at the companies April 25th release it states that they were able to mine 27.92 bitcoin with 770 rigs in a 38 day period. With these metrics and a bitcoin price of say 12k, I calculate annual sales of just about 3 million. Then if i Increase the rigs to 9,870 which the company is expected to operate by the end of June, I calculate annual sales of just under 40 million.

With a current market cap in the 26 million range is this stock worth keeping an eye on? Does it have a chance at being profitable if cryptocurrencies manage to remain at current levels or even grind higher?

What attracts me to cryptocurrency mining is that the business model seems so simple...buying mining rigs and plugging them in... is there more to it then that?

Q: Hi, Could you give 3 small cap and 3 mid cap recommendations for me to look at on the tsx. I'm looking for good management with a good balance sheet. Something with some risk is ok provided the possibility for good growth is there.

Q: Whoa!!!

1. How bad is it and what does it mean re: audit and possible accounting violations?

2. Is anti-virus still relevant - isn't this free from others (Microsoft)? How much of SYMCs revenue comes from anti-virus?

Buying opportunity or does this reek of corruption and something much worse?
