Q: I'm looking at buying gold bullion etf and try to decide between CGL.C and PHYS which has a slightly lower expense ratio. What's the plus and minus for each of these ETFs and what will be your preference and why? Thanks for sharing your insight.

Q: If buying gold would you buy a stock or an ETF
Q: Hello,
I have held some shares of SGOL for awhile as my gold bulion holding. I noticed that there are no questions ever asked about SGOL and usually you recommend PHYS for bullion exposure. Can you comment on SGOL and compare to PHYS? Looks like SGOL has the lowest management fees of the bullion etf's. Is there any great reason to switch to PHYS or consider it for future purchases?
Thanks

Q: Hello, on several occasions you have suggested PHYS as a tool to invest in gold bullion. I see that there are two versions of PHYS, one is CA and the other is US. Which one would you recommend in a non registered account? Thanks, Gervais
Q: Hello Team
I am hearing different comments, and one from David Rosenberg in particular, suggesting it is quite possible to see a 60cent dollar in the not too distant future and I would appreciate your thoughts. Further to this personally I feel that the markets seem to be going through a period of "irrational exuberance" and personally I feel we are only at the beginning of what is to come in terms of a downturn in the Canadian economy. With this in mind, what would your thought be of changing some Canadian dollars in my accounts to US dollars for investment purposes. I would also consider using a US ETF such as GLD to play the rising gold stocks. Appreciate your thoughts

Q: If a person is concerned about the bank of Canada printing so much money , that it starts to lose its value and the money I have saved up in cash starts to lose its value as well , what can a person do to protect the value of the money you have . And how would a person go about doing this? thanks , especially during this crazy economy.
Q: I have no gold in my Tfsa and am looking to add a small position. Would this be advisable and if so can you recommend the best Canadian etf and give insight for the choice? Thank you.
Q: What are fees for these?
Thanks,
Milan

Q: With the huge amounts of dollars being infused into the economic system by governments around the world are we going to be seeing the reduction of the value of currencies around the globe? Does it make sense at this time to invest in other asset classes such as gold, silver or anything else you can suggest.
And if diversifying into another asset class makes sense, how would one go about buying gold or silver or any other asset class you can suggest.
thanks, Jean

Q: I managed to miss the recent recovery as I was expecting the market to go lower. I'm now considering gold given the high amounts of government spending and possible inflationary pressures. May I have your thoughts on gold as an investment right now? In particular, the GLD etf? Thanks,
Jason

Q: While reviewing my exposure to gold, I was interested in knowing whether you would recommend holding one of the above or a combination?
Q: Other than CEF holding silver and gold bullion what differences are there between it and PHYS. Ownership of physical bullion, redemption of units for bullion etc.
Thanks Kenn
Thanks Kenn

Q: Is buying PHYS a low risk proxy to owning physical gold since it actually holds the gold?
Is buying UUP a low risk proxy for buysing US$ or could there be unexpected volatility of the ETF ouside of dollar fluxuations?
Likewise for GBTC for Bitcoin?
It like to get a close to buying US$, Gold, and a bit of Bitcoin but without having to physically obtain - have I chosen approapriate vehicles for this or could I get blindsided?

Q: What is your favorite gold stock? Looking to invest $100K in Gold Stocks or ETF's. I think that stocks are going to take a much larger drop and I am looking for at least a little bit of stability. I don't hold any gold or precious metals stocks right now. I can handle the risk.
Q: Is this the right time to invest in gold ? If so, bullion or coins.
Thank You
Thank You
Q: Good Morning,
There has been a lot of talk about the value of owning gold in a portfolio recently. I was wondering if you could let me know how I can go about owning gold inside my TFSA? In addition, would now be a good time to buy gold, or would it be better to wait until markets rebound. In other words, is gold a better buy when markets are doing well.
Regards,
Ryan

Q: Hi 5i, could you please recommend some Gold ETFs that track the gold price (sorry if this has already been asked before)? Thanks!
Q: What is the best way to invest in physical gold without actually buying a brick and having to store it? i.e. is there a mutual fund and how does doing this investing strategy compare with investing in a streamer like FNV?
Thank you.
Thank you.
