Q: Any thoughts on Home Capital's earnings release and broker termination announcement? Thought with originations down, numbers might have been a little lower.
Q: Hi,sylogist has been stuck in a narrow trading range for most of the year, do you see any upcoming catalyst that could drive it up this year, thanks, as always?
Q: Hi...can you please comment on the results. Thanks
Q: Could you please comment on the press release issued by Amaya last nite? Many thanks, Peter
Q: Could you please look into the numbers released by CGI. Do you think looking past the 50 and 200 day moving average would be a better gauge for a purchase since it has broken through both? Many have thought we would have heard of a fairly large acquisition by now...any thoughts on this as well?
Thank you as always Jason N

Q: Good morning,
I would like to hear your thoughts on a switch from CTC.A to QSR. CTC has not done much for me and QSR seems to have momentum. There have been very few questions on QSR but I noticed you recommended it on a question by Herb on July 24. This is for a long term hold. Thanks for your always helpful responses.

Q: Your comments on OTC's earnings, conference call and IRA issue. Thanks. Chris
Q: Hello 5i Team,
The only US company I currently own is Boeing, and I would like to diversify with 1-2 more names. I know you don't formally cover US stocks, but I've been looking at Time Warner, Priceline, and Toll Brothers. Which would you recommend? Are there any others you would pick over those for a combination of growth and stability. I'd like to stay away from volatile small caps.
Thanks,
Jordan

Q: Hi, what are some of the Vehicles, in Canada or the US to play a rising $US. Given the exchange rates now I would rather stay with a Canadian ETF or Fund.
Thanks
Thanks
Q: I currently hold FC and MTG in my RRSP.Over the last year FC is down 2% and MTG is down by 16%.Both seem to be similar companies. Is there an explanation for this discrepancy? Joe
Q: Hi 5i,
Seems like it has been all quiet on the EIF front and it has held in reasonably well relative to the turmoil in some other areas. I think they report in about 2 weeks. How lofty are the Street's expectations relative to how the company did on its last report? Is there anything in particular one should be watching for in the upcoming one? Thanks!

Q: PHM = 24 million shares sold today. 24,000,000 shares BOUGHT today. I bought 2,000 more shares today at $.80. It is now my largest single stock holding at 16,000 shares. Average price $1.07 . Am I the dumb one here?
Q: I know that your primary focus is on growth stocks, of which Torstar is not one. But, i was wondering what your thoughts are regarding its recent acquisition of VerticalScope. You were happier about Torstar when it acquired some cash. But, some seem to think that they have squandered their cash with this purchase. It has dropped almost 12 percent today. But, the dividend yield is now also close to 12 percent. Looks tempting, even if there is not a lot of growth. So, in your view, are they positioning themselves for the future, as they say, or squandering their assets, as some others seem to think? And is it worth buying now or better to wait to see what happens?
Tanks for the great service, as always

Q: My former broker stuffed my RSP with some Sprott funds which I have now sold at an aggregate loss of 55%. I am now left with some Sentry Funds to dispose of . I ask herein about one in particular : it is SENTRY SELECT PRIMARY METALS CORP CL-A SH (PME) . PME has lost 64% of its value. I don't understand how this fund makes money. It pays a good dividend -- but is that return of capital. Fees seem high.
I read your comment of Jan 27 on PME. Do you hold the same view you expressed then? Given the huge drop in PME, do you think I should just keep it OR do you have other better ideas? I surmise from this forum that you suggest most people should hold a bit of gold. I know nothing about gold and would be thankful for suggestions . I would also be OK keeping PME as is , IF , in your opinion, holding PME is optimal given the loss already sustained in PME.

Q: I have a half position in GH in a well diversified portfolio and was wondering what you think of the company and whether it would be a good idea to go to a full position at today's levels. Thanks!!
Q: I have two REP funds for my granddaughters (1&3years). Looking for a long term balanced fund in the investors group. What would you suggest?
Q: Hi Peter and Team,
Would you please comment on UTX's pull back of 20% over the last quarter.

Q: Peter et al.:
What is your opinion of the Bondholders agreement that was released yesterday? Will this result in an increase in the share price in the long term since the risk of bankruptcy has been reduced based on my interpretation? I know that the oil market is still in the dog house and this will be the biggest factor. They have had good success with Huntington since the CATS pipeline has restarted so they actually have cash flow now. Your opinion is much appreciated. Hopefully my lottery ticket is now worth 5 or 10 tickets now lol.
Regards,
Brendan
