Q: SNC has been performing well since the last 5 months which is reflected in the recovery of the share price and seems to me it's just a matter of time before it gets to new highs. However, from your answers to the SNC questions that I've read you don't favor this name at all and prefer STN and WSP. Please explain your point of view given the stock performance to date. Thanks in advance.

iShares 1-5 Year Laddered Corporate Bond Index ETF (CBO)
-
iShares Core Canadian Universe Bond Index ETF (XBB)
Q: One more question regarding asset allocation in my RRIF-- how would you rate a 50/50 split of XBB and CBO as the bond component? Given all other factors remain the same. Thank you!
PS - loved the question "what makes 5i so great?"
You provide fabulous service and take some of the angst and mystery out of investing.

Q: As a long time holder of Superior, I was disappointed when they bid for Canexus, just when they were improving their debt situation. What is your opinion of SPB if the Canexus deal goes through, compared to if it doesn't. Which would be better for the company, long-term? Do you consider the dividend reasonably safe in either event?
Thank-you
Thank-you
Q: Peter, I am considering buying one of these ETF's. HXS is quite small vs XSP but it has had much returns over the past 5 years. I would have thought that the returns of both would have been quite similar as they are designed to track the S&P 500.
Q: Good day, please advise if Cascades is a good buy for a long term hold (5-7 years). Will be purchasing inside a diversified rsp and looking for a stable player in the "green" space. Any others you would recommend?
Thank you, Harry

Q: Good day, SJ seems to be bucking the trend today on moderate volume. In your opinion, has this stock plateaued and will trade in this range, or is there more downside possible. Looking at an entry point for a diversified rsp portfolio

Q: Dear 5i,
I am forwarding a link to a youtube video that shows the latest technology from Dirtt that combines virtual reality with the real world (which they call mixed reality). Pretty amazing.

Power Financial Corporation (PWF)

Fiera Capital Corporation Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (FSZ)
Q: I currently own PWF and down 18% and it is in a non rrsp account.I can write this loss with a gain in another stock in which I am over weight and wondered if SLF or FSZ would be a better replacement for PWF? I own no other stock in the insurance sector but own BNS and TD for the financial sector.
Q: Peter and team
I was thinking of getting back into EFN at this time. I was wondering your thoughts long term, and more importantly what will happen to shareholders at the time of "the split".
Thanks as always for a great service!

Q: You rate this as an "A"; but, when I check my info provided by CIBC Investors Edge: debt/Equity is 2.8X, ROE is basically 0, P.R. is crazy high and P.E. equally so. They have issued a lot of common and preferred shares as well and must have a heck of a lot of non-cash write-offs which distort a lot of the metrics, I guess? What is the story on a pure cash basis then?
Q: My question is about "peak auto". I have not yet read any reliable source that shows auto sales heading for a slump. In your experience, have you seen "cheap" large caps like Magna fall 40% based on a "guess" that was repeated enough times in the media to convince everyone, a guess that ended up being wrong? It's hard to believe all this selling is based only on a guess about a "top". I am not seeing XTC or LNR executives buy their stock. At 6.5 times earnings, you'd think they would buy if they their EPS was projected to be maintained over the next 3 quarters!
Q: PWF has been been hit fairly hard by Brexit. With a 5% dividend, it is looking attractive at current prices. Could you comment on the reasons for the significant price decrease, and would you buy today for a long-term hold, with dividend sustainability being the main concern.
Thank-you
Thank-you

Q: Good morning,
Can you give me your thoughts on lassonde industries. It is a company you do not hear much about but the historical stock performance has been impressive to say the least. What does the company's financials look like ( ie debt, yield, safety as well as future growth in dividend, payout ratio etc) as well as future growth for the company.
Would you recommend taking a position at this time.
Thanks for the outstanding service!
