Q: SYZ, ZZZ, CZO, TNC, NFI, PBH and ITC These are all stocks that have been down considerably over the last month. They are stocks that 5i customers have or did have. Meanwhile, the TSX 60 has been flat for the last month. So I am wondering if the members are selling out on these stocks and possibly putting the money into oil which has been up for the last month or so. Should I have been getting out of some of these stocks over the last while and putting my money into oil which is one sector that is doing quite well and probably the reason the TSX is not losing ground this month. Thank you. Dennis

Q: I have about 9% in utilities in an otherwise balanced portfolio. All these companies have dropped from 5 to 10% in value over the last while. Can you explain this. Should I lighten up on utilities, and if so, which one(s) should I sell? Thanks.
Q: I realize Lumentum trades on Nasdaq but could I have your views on the company. It has done well this year but Goldman Sachs just downgraded it. Could the Samsung Galaxy issues have anything to do with it? Would you advise holding or selling?

Q: Are things getting any clearer yet as to the survivability of Valeant? Have any of their proposed sales brought buyers, and do you think they can meet their short term obligations to give them time to regroup?
Q: Hi 5i. You periodically answer questions re sector allocation percentages. One of your more recent, discussed the inclusion of Real Estate as the eleventh.
Can you clarify if these suggested percentages would be for the Equities portion of one's portfolio only, and thus would exclude the Fixed / Cash portion. Thanks for clarifying. T.

Q: Hello 5i
Chinook Energy.
No questions previously asked, and the name does not come up automatically when I type in the symbol on the title line above. So, from what I've read outside, I believe this company has a brilliant future. First off: Why the lack of interest?
Second, could you "shine your flashlight" on this one and give me your opinion. And might this be a stock that would interest you and subscribers, seeing as how its so underreported and unknown.
thanks

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Do to the split, I have a tiny (practically negligible) position in ECN. Is this a company that you would be willing to top up to a half position, or should I release it now? If you are willing to top it up, would you prefer ECN or EFN and why?
Thanks,
Wes

Q: Hello,
A recent article by Mawer, discussing executive compensation states "Constellation Software is a good example of a company we like because it has chosen to align its managers. The CEO draws a $1 salary and they don’t use securities to link the alignment. Instead, all their key managers are shareholders with a genuine stake in the company’s success, earned through years of share-based compensation."
Could you recommend some other companies like CSU with top notch management and similar alignment?
Thank you

Q: Good Morning
Their are rumblings about The Ontario Government tearing up their pricey Renewable Energy contacts (National Post-Solomon). What is the probability of this happening and what renewable companies Transalta, Brookfield, Algonquin etc would be damaged.
An enjoyable Thanksgiving to al

Q: What are the prospects for Canfor Pulp? I bought a small position in 2011 for the dividend, which held for a while, but ended up being slashed. Should I cut my losses and redeploy?
