Q: I have 2 bonds that I believe are issued by home capital group:
HOME TR DEP NT 3.4% 10DC18 book value- $18,000 market value $16,065 -11.39%
HOME TR DEP NT2.35%24MY17 book value- $18,000 market value $17,460 -3.11%
I was planing to hold until maturity.
Should I be worried if I hold until maturity?
Any thoughts or advice?

Q: Thoughts on ER? Thanks.
Q: Hello Peter, I have positions in several US stocks, including JPM, JNJ, ADM, GOOGL, MET, PG, KHC, GE and CISCO. I would like to add a solid US stock for a long-term hold. A few weeks ago, you mentioned a smaller company, Collectors Universe, as a investment idea. The dividend is excellent and it has a pretty good track record of share price gains. Do you still like this as a current buy, or would you prefer something like ITRI, EBIX, FLIR or CGNX (which you've also mentioned). I don't need the income, so my criterion would basically be the best longer-term, overall, risk-adjusted return. Thank you!
Q: Would you agree the latest acquisition of a business to business provider could reduce costs of their funeral home operations, thus increasing margins long term?
If so, can it be seen as an excellent strategic fit to the growth platform, and thus support current share price momentum?

Q: Hi folks,

Q: In the event that the price of oil falls dramatically this year, how would you rank the following six companies with respect to their ability to withstand a prolonged and precipitous decline: VII, ARX, BIR, TOG, VET, CPG ? Would any of them be cause for concern, or would you keep holding? Also, what are the main factors you take into consideration when making this kind of determination (balance sheet, market cap, oil vs gas exposure, etc)? Thanks for your reply.

Q: Hi,
I'm young and have good income, good risk tolerance and no need to withdrawal any of my investment dollars anytime soon. I'm looking for long term growth mostly. Currently I hold the listed stocks, do you see any names that jump out as really bad/ should sell? Is anything really lacking and maybe should be added? Right now everything is held in a tfsa.
Thanks!
Dave

Q: I have been thinking about selling Riocan a bit concerned about the dropping price. I am in a positive position. In a previous questions I asked your opinion on PD. If I sell this position I was thinking of selling on the US side and have the funds deposited to the US side of my portfolio. My discount broker is TD and sure how that would work and would like to know your opinion. Thank you

Thanks for your great service

Q: Have been patient waiting for these companies to recover. What is your opinion? Should I sell and move on. Thank you.
Q: Good afternoon 5i. I am currently sitting with 25% cash on the side lines. I know that's much too high. I have avoided gold/silver sector as well as oil sector(I do have enb, trp, fts)I've also avoided consumer goods sector. I'm light in industrials (dow & cbi) and property sectors (tcn). All other sectors are represented fully and equally ie health/financials/tech. I have a 65/35% split between US/CDN market respectively. With the stock market correction today and yesterday would it be a good buying opportunity and what sectors should I focus on going forward and if you can offer some stock suggestions in each sector. Much appreciated.

Q: I am starting to lose patience with STN. I have owned it for 2 1/2 years and am up a grand total of 2% (plus dividend). It seems to have been in a trading range since Nov 2013. Is it time to move onto something else? They report on May 11th: should I wait for the earnings report and if not satisfied then sell (or just sell now since my patience is wearing out)?
p.s. I own WSP and have done very well with it.

Q: If I wanted to hedge my U.S. currency going forward, would buying DLR.TO be a good way to do it?
Q: The shares of PYR have moved up today and a company with the symbol HPQ announce it has ordered a second phase of Process Characterization Testing from PyroGenesis; alas, the HPQ in question is not Hewlett-Packard but a much smaller company "HPQ Silicon Resources" which is listed in Frankfurt and on the TSX-Venture exchange.
What can you tell us about this TSX.V-listed HPQ and is its announced relationship with PYR meaningful for the continuing progress of Pyrogenesis Canada?
Thanks to the 5i team for their informative insights.

Q: Hello team,
Thank you for the portfolio review. It is a great help and a terrific service to mankind. All my ducks are now in a row after a lot of quacking but now all is calm.
Question: When you write that segregated positions should be 2% and ETF's 5%:
is that 2% of:
1)just only the equity,
2)the complete portfolio including paid up residences and safety expenses cash, or
3)the complete trading portfolio including fixed?
Is that 5% of
1. All the ETF's,
2. 5% of just the fund ETF's and 5% of the fixed ETF'S separated out?
3. 5% of the complete portfolio as above?
4. 5% of the complete trading portfolio?
thank you

Q: CHH has issued a press release of their signing a New 5-year Credit Facilities for Completion of Debt Refinancing Plan. The reduction in borrowing costs from $26.4M in 2015 to a pro-forma of $4.5M along with a reduction in their weighted average interest rate from 6.7% to 5.25% is impressive. Would you please provide your assessment of this company and also comment if it time to buy this stock? Thanks Gordon
