Q: In a recent answer there was a recommendation that BRK.B would be a solid growth stock for years to come. Just curious given the U.S./CAD exchange rate, what are the pros and cons to buy BRK.CA instead of BRK.B?

Q: Hi team,
My question is regarding Bitcoin. Do YOU hold it, and maybe an explanation why or why not?
An attractive entry price?
Are there other cryptos that seem appealing?
Thanks

I would appreciate some background on why it has declined, it their near captive market expected to increase its rate of growth in the mid term, and if a potential buy, at what price would you get interested in it?
Thanks as always.
Dave

Q: I've held Premium Brands Holdings Corporation (PBH) for eight years with minimal returns. Given its recent challenges, such as weaker Canadian sales and a premium valuation relative to peers, I’m considering switching to Alimentation Couche-Tard (ATD) for better long-term growth potential. ATD seems to offer a more resilient business model, steady earnings growth, and strategic acquisition opportunities, like the potential 7-Eleven deal. What’s your view on the rationale for trading PBH for ATD and the timing? PBH is forecasting stronger growth however rarely materializes... Does ATD’s scale, diversification, and growth trajectory make it a stronger candidate for long-term value creation, or should I hold PBH given its U.S. expansion plans and historical dividend growth? Welcome hearing 5i's insight especially considering PBH's pop today resulting from positive earnings report. Thank you!

Q: I recently read that the US has a major debt renewal pending in 2026. In order to save money it would therefore be in its interest to lower rates, significantly if possible, by lowering their current exchange and slowing their economy. Does this seem like a probable scenario to you and would you mind shedding light?
I realize also that bond prices are affected by other factors including creditworthiness. But it seemed an interesting theory of economic management, and US debt reduction is a hot topic right now.

Hammond Power Solutions Inc. Class A Subordinate Voting Shares (HPS.A)
Q: Hello 5i,
I'm thinking of selling my BCE shares in my non-registered account for tax loss purposes since I'm also expecting a dividend cut shortly. I'm looking to replace the dividend income as much as possible and I'm thinking of putting the proceeds in Telus (which I already own) or FRU.UN (not owned but I already own TOU). I'm debating whether a possible capital appreciation with BCE following a dividend cut makes it worth rebuying after 30 days instead of continuing to hold T or FRU.UN for the long term? Overall, my goal is to maintain my dividend income with this particular trade.
I'm also thinking about replacing FSV with HPS.A (I had HPS.A FOMO a few months ago but I'm not sure it's going back to its previous days?) in my TFSA for overall returns and I'm wondering if you have a preference between the two?
Thank you,
Lisa

Q: I like that GRT. UN has diversified from majority special purpose real facilities to majority distribution & e-commerce facilities in then last 10 years. All other metrics look good for this REIT.
What do you think about GRT.UN at these levels? Should investors be concerned about Magna being the largest tenant of GRT.UN?
Any other REIT's you would recommend if a patient investor wanted to start building real estate positions?

Q: The CEO of Telesat was interviewed on CBC radio this morning, and he discussed the Lightspeed project in detail. Previously to him, a consultant in the rural Kawartha Lakes area of Ontario described his move away from Starlink. His aversion to Elon Musk propelled him to cancel Starlink even though his replacement through Rogers isn't as good as Starlink was. I suspect this consultant isn't the only one who is disgusted with Musk, (The Ontario government's response is an excellent example.)
Now for my question: Given the toxic nature of Musk, and the need for a truly Canadian option to Starlink, would now be a good time to start to accumulate shares in TSAT? In our case, this would increase our exposure in the Telecom sector, and get in on the ground floor of what sounds like an exciting project.
Thanks as always for your insight.

Q: Could 5i give a list of the various covered call gold ETF's offered and their yields ? Canadian and/or American ...... The only one I am aware of is AMAX on the Hamilton website. The yield is indicated at 9.52% but it always says that no matter what the daily unit price is. So if you could update the yield based on current unit price it would be appreciated ? .....Also are there any enhanced yield gold ETF's and if so their targeted yield ? Thanks for your terrific service . Garth
