Q: Is your team still ok with overweighting in Cdn tech stocks? Which are your top five picks based on reliable strong growth, reasonable valuation and healthy balance sheet?
I currently own CGI (gain) and Intertain (30% loss). I am thinking of selling some CGI and all IT to switch to the top picks. Thanks.

Q: I like this site that another member suggested for info on short positions. https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/q/ks?s=DH.TO The link takes you to Key Stats for DH but just enter the symbol in the box for any stock and moving averages is in the right hand box. Tons of info on this site. I use it regularly and find new stuff all the time.

Q: I own both CBO and CBH bond funds. They have not performed well, and I was wondering if these are something that I should hang on to for the future. Are they a safety net when the world is dealing with a low interest rate environment?
Together they are about 7% of my portfolio.

Q: Peter; I have my cynic hat on this morning after reading that the short interest in ENB increased by 5.7 million shares or 18.3 %. Then this AM we have the huge equity issue. Is it in the realm of plausibility that the dealers who did the deal were also the cause for the short increase? Seems a good way to lock in a profit. Thanks.Rod

Q: I asked this question in the blog but probably should be here.

My broker told me that BEP.UN was a bad investment because the $2.25 payout far exceeded the $1.11 earnings? When I go online to check this out I get conflicting numbers, so not sure who to believe. Can you clarify as to the integrity of BEP.UN

Q: Both companies are in the same business, and have similar dividends.

I know that SIS is now in one of your portfolios. Was this a difficult decision - choosing between the 2 companies? Wuld you see as bright a future for PM as you do for SIS?

Could you build a case to own both?

Q: Although you do not specifacally follow US stocks, I would appreciate your opinion on ESRX. It has dropped significantly this year. I still have an 18% profit on it. The stock has drop from 0.45 to 0.29 in a short amount of time. It had great support with a 0.45 price stocks. But the stock has fallen so much. Why the company stock drop so quickly. Q: I know that this isn't your favorite gold miner, and that is fairly high risk. I have been down on this one for over a year, and I am above water and it seems to moving steadily upwards. I assume it mostly to do with the Gold Price. Have any fundamentals changed where I should keep this for awhile longer, or is time to cut ties.

I don't need the money at this time, and I don't mind some risk, but I could switch from HMY to AEG.
