Q: Hi Peter, I have the above real estate plays (~2.5% each) in my RRSP along with a good mix of other 5i non-real estate income and growth picks (~62.5%) plus ~30% cash at present. Is this a reasonable mix (TCN, HOT, SRT) ? Thank you.

Q: Background: I owned HOT.UN in my TFSA for the dividend in USD. but then my bank converted the dollars to Cdn (no choice there unless I held it in a USD account apparently) and then there was about 30% tax removed from the dividend as well.
Question: Is this normally what happens? Very confused as American Hotels is Canadian or so I thought.

Q: Not all REITs are equal; so, would you say that HOT.UN is more sensitive to the economy than some others - say 50% interest rate- and 50% economy- sensitive? And what about REI.UN? Thanks again.

Q: I would like your thoughts on whether it is a good time to buy REITs given the pull back in some recently. I am looking at AD, HOT and HR so could I get you opinion on these or others that would be a good buy now.

Could you suggest others that may be better
Others that I have that are not doing any better are tog,mtl,

Q: As a retired investor, I hold positions in both company for the income. I am concerned with the U.S. Feds possible rate increase in December and the BOC's statement that they seriously discussed lowering interest rates and their effects on the share price of these stocks as capital preservation is paramount to me.
Your opinion on this would be greatly appreciated as to a hold or sell.
