Q: I know its hard to compare these companies but do you have a preference between Banco Santander, Lloyds or Fiera Capital? Focus on value and dividend growth for a long term investor.

Q: Good morning:
I own a 3.5% position in Fiera, primarily for the dividend and non-bank financial exposure. I'm puzzled that Fiera has not declared its quarterly dividend yet. As the last dividend was declared in November, I was expecting the next one to come in February. Understanding dividends are at the discretion of the board, I wonder if there is a reason why we don't have the dividend advice, or is this is "just a Fiera thing?"

I’m thinking of adding ECN to my portfolio. However, I already owned GSY and FSZ. Do you see any overlapping? Q: Greetings. CBL, MKP, FC all pay a great dividend, but have lost Cap value over the past year or so. Forward trending does not indicate much value appreciation. Should I be concerned with this sector of altrenative lenders to the major banks. Sell or hold ? Other options to consider. ie some growth expectation and a reasonable div or say +4%

Q: My portfolio is light in the financial sector (CXI) and and I was thinking of adding GS at about half position (25K) to my RRSP and/or cash account for at least a 5 year hold, likely much longer. Although the yield is very attractive, I would prefer more growth. I am about 5 years from retirement and will be fully funded from other sources. I have slightly above moderate risk tolerance. Please suggest 2-3 stocks from each Canada and US, and if possible provide a rating. Thanks.

Q: Hello 5i, Thanks for your comment on Fiera and Gluskin Sheff , I notice the P/E for Fiera is approx 72 is this correct. Is this a negative for Fiera. The P/E for Gluskin Sheff is approx 12 is this a plus for GS. Could you state the correct P/E and payout ratio for FSZ and GS,
