Q: re: DDD & DASTY ... and digital printing industry (DPI) in general

Morning 5i Team

I think we can all agree the DPI in general has a bright future in our everyday life. Let's face it. One day instead of plugging in a tape to watch a movie, you will have a box that allows you to record and download movies or shows anytime you want then watch them days later.

Soon, when you need a small tool you can simply go to your digital printer and make it in the kitchen.

But as always with new technology, while in it's infancy no one knows which company will be a player and which company will no longer exist when the technology becomes affordable and really starts to take off.

I read an article yesterday regarding the education system planning on using digital printing in the classroom... an ideal application. Did you see anything on this information and if so, do you feel it may be a catalyst to start us towards DP's becoming become part of our everyday life?

And which of the aforementioned stocks do you think have the best chance too take advantage? Is there another company we should be aware of that could be a serious player?

Plus any other thoughts you may have regarding the future of the DPI. Someone is going to make allot of money. Any chance it could be us?

Thanks for all you do

Q: Hi Peter &Co
I hold KMR in a TFSA. Some of the news on Consolidation of Kinder Morgan express concern the the US IRS may be taxing Capital gains on these shares retroactively.

Do you have any insights into IRS acting to tax Inversions such as this. Perhaps you Bloomberg terminal would have some timely advice on this. I could sell the shares before the inversion closes, but hate to jump at shadows.

I realize you are not US tax experts but you might have run into useful 3rd party advice that would be helpful.

Regards
Ernie

Q: Hi,

As a longer term play on tv, (several years)would you prefer DTV or Dish? I own lots of Walt Disney and Cgx, but think DTV or the Dish network are quite different. DTV has a much lower PE but Dish's growth over the last five years is phenomenal.

Q: re:CSX

Hopefully you can help with this U$ Equity question.

I purchased 200 shares of CSX a number of months ago and it is doing ok with a good dividend. I purchased CSX because it was considerably cheaper than Can Railroads and I do have a need for U$ currency with a son that attends a US college. I have about 20% of my portfolio in US equities of which 5% is in CSX.

I have just read another article regarding CSX and they painted a picture saying "the present value of the company's discounted earnings, adjusted for dividends, is around $2 less than shares trade for right now."

It gives reasons being CSX' earnings growth estimates are lower than it's competitors. It goes on to say "Curiously, analysts have not been moving earnings estimates up at CSX as they have for Norfolk Southern (NYSE:NSC), where earnings have been furiously upgraded by more than a dozen analysts recently."

Long and short of it... it appears CSX shares' valuation has been up to the same forward earnings multiple (14) as it's competitors but doesn't appear to offer the same earnings growth going forward.

Can you give me your thoughts on CSX moving forward and do you think share value will be negatively effected based on the street consensus.

Thank you for all you do

Gord
