Q: RE: Information Technology stocks in the TSX.
I am looking to buy a stock in the IT sector of the TSX as part of my portfolio diversification.
I prefer a IT stock that pays a dividend.
Absolute software, Constellation, Com Dev, DH Corp, Open Text are some of the names I came up with.
I always try to get familiar with the businesses I buy stock in but in the IT sector I do have difficulty understanding these businesses even after reading the company description on their websites.
Could you give me your opinion on IT stocks listed in the TSX that pay a dividend. And also possibly give me a description of the business in layman's terms?
Thank you very much.
Best regards

Q: Hello
What are you thoughts on this stock? Would you consider this a good growth stock still?
Thanks

Q: Big gain today. Please provide your comments on how it's been doing recently and your opinion on future performance.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: Could you please look into the numbers released by CGI. Do you think looking past the 50 and 200 day moving average would be a better gauge for a purchase since it has broken through both? Many have thought we would have heard of a fairly large acquisition by now...any thoughts on this as well?
Thank you as always Jason N

Q: Your comments on OTC's earnings, conference call and IRA issue. Thanks. Chris
Q: Hi Peter & Team: Does you answer to Dennis on July 20 still stand? The stock keeps going down lately. Thank you.
Q: Hi 5i, What do you think about CGI Group on this pull back, is it a buy? Jeff
Q: Hi 5i: I've been considering a position in the tech security sector. Do you have any advice you could proffer on PANW (I know you don't specifically cover US stocks)? Any other suggestions for stocks in this sector? Many thanks.
Q: I own the following tech stocks: CSU, ESL and MDA
I'd like to add two more tech stocks to my portfolio. What would you suggest? SYZ, OTC, GIB, something else?
And should I buy them now or wait for the fall?
Best,
Carla

Q: Hi there,
GIB.A seems to be a favorite among analysts on BNN with numerous "Top Pick" designations in the past month. ESL looks pretty nice on it's chart but is less talked about. Would you recommend one over the other for someone needing exposure to this sector? If you could answer which is your preferred and why it would be a big help.

Q: Hi Peter and staff
I have a small position , started at $6 and kept buying a bit more including some at $10 when TD was predicting $11 or $12. Now at $8 - ok to add to a small position on HOLD or SELL

Q: This stock has been sliding lately, would like to hear your thoughts..buy, sell or hold?
Q: Hi there, can I get your opinion on Amazon.
Q: Is this stock a "buy"? I read a description of it's business and I am still not sure what they do, or, whether it has a wide enough mote to protect their business model? The stock has gone up significantly over the last three years: has a high ROE & a high P.E. to go with it -EPS > quicker than top-line revenue - comments please.
Q: If you had to choose between TC and SYZ which would you choose and why? I have a 5.5% position in SYZ which has been down since the time I bought it 6 months ago. Is it advisable to trim it to 3% and invest the rest in TC. Also do you think TC is expensive at the current level. Thanks
Q: In a question earlier this month on Open Text it sounded like CGI and Open Text are in the same range of quality while CSU was the superior. I hold enough CSU and I would like to add another name in the tech area. I like the above two companies, could you recommend to me one over the other and/or a third option if I am missing something.
Thank you
Jeremy

Q: RBC came out with a research note on CSU this morning and a $475 target price (well below market price).
Do you agree, and can you comment on their observations I'm quoting below plse:
"In light of the divergence between Constellation’s current pace of acquisitions and valuation, RBC CM wanted to outline the conditions necessary and scenario for re-acceleration in acquisitions. The analyst believes a reduction in Constellation’s hurdle rate is needed to counter the elevated pricing environment and drive material re-acceleration in acquisitions. In the meantime, RBC CM sees acquisitions below FCF and Constellation deleveraging. RBC CM believes Constellation’s long-term fundamentals remain attractive. However, valuation multiples near the high end of Constellation’s historical range have diverged from its slower pace of M&A. RBC CM’s C$475 target equates to 16x CY16E EV/EBITDA on $519MM CY16E adj. EBITDA."
Thanks

Q: Further to Larry's question on Hack, it appears Pure Funds only has 2 very unique funds at this time (albeit with plans to add more). Should one be wary of investing in a new fund provider, especially one offering a non traditional product line-up. I like the idea of the Hack fund but am somewhat wary of Pure Funds unless they have a proven prior track record in the industry? How much of a concern should this be?
Q: Update including recent acquisition.
