Q: Diversified Royalty DIV is now down close to 50% since March and showing no signs of recovery like many other stocks have in April and May. Can you provide your current assessment of the company and dividend sustainability (now in excess of 12% yield)? Do you recommend I hold or sell it and replace with a more stable dividend stock? Thx - John C
Q: Can I get your analysis on q1 results and thoughts in general on this companies business lines especially during the pandemic? Is the company covering its dividend well? Thanks
Q: Hello 5i team. I read with interest how contrary to steelmakers worldwide who are battening down the hatches, Stelco CEO Alan Kestenbaum is betting big on a renaissance in North American manufacturing and construction by making $110-million of investments with the goal of turning Stelco into North America's most efficient steel maker. Ballsy. I agree with him that the other side of this panedemic will see an onshoring of manufacturing capacity in North America. The biggest risk I see with this one is if Trump ever decided to re-impose the steel tariffs. At just over $6/share, do you see this stock as a buy for a semi-patient investor with a long time horizon? Also, how sustainable is the dividend?
Q: Can you tell me the significance of Fine Capital's investment today in Wildbrain. I think this could be a multibagger in a few years. I think Erin Bollengren has the skills, the experience and the drive to turn this ship around. I know many of us, including you, have been very disappointed in Wild, BUT
in your career, have you seen quite a few ships that were sinking and came back to life with a good change in management? It seems that he knows how to right a ship. I still think this is a valuable company for the likes of Disney, Amazon. Appreciate your comments. I'm in at $1.75, stock is now $1.20 and was .80 just two weeks ago when I was so tempted to double down on my conviction, but didn't. Kicking my butt!
Q: Your thoughts on QST Q1 financials and what you think the future holds. Could they be a player in the government's methane reduction program recently announced?
Q: Could I have your latest thoughts on CWL please. I am holding a small position. Since they eliminated the dividend it seldom trades. What is your opinion is it worth holding? Is there potential in the future/
Q: I have a small position in OGI.T. Bought it two weeks ago (2.40) thinking it Is one of the better names in the sector and will be a survivor. It has had its time in the past where they would report a good quarter but with no consistency. What is you’re opinion on this company and the sector in general. I can wait on it for a few years but the sector as a whole looks like a dumpster fire and knowing there are a lot of other places to go with the money I’m wondering if it makes any sense to wait it out?
How does the back log look at NFI? Will governments have any money to spend on new buses? Most of all, is the dividend safe? Should we be stepping in now?
Thank you as always
Ken & Cindy
P.S.
What do you think of CTS's quarter?
