Q: Hi there,
Could I please get a brief analysis and your opinion on Canadian Solar. It is trading at a low p/e and is approx 40-45% down from it's high. With all the recent talk about clean energy is this stock a buy? It appears to be under valued, contracts world wide and has a decent insider ownership? Why is is down so much? What is the risk level and growth outlook over the next couple years. Thanks, Kerri

Q: Hi Team
I noted your comment to Shyam on Dec 1st regarding Google. In the tech sector would you see Google or our own CSU as being the preferred choice for a long term hold?
Thanks.

Q: What is the payout ratio for TA? It's yield is 13.408% and pays out a quarterly amount of 0.18 for a total of 0.72 per year. It earns 0.66 a share per year. Therefore I figure the payout is 109%. Is this how the pay out rate is calculated. If I am correct. how can a company sustain paying out more than it earns, thanks
Q: Is this a good defensive ETF? It seems to go up some when the market goes up, and doesn't seem to fall when the market falls.
Q: I'm considering buying POT and LIF for the yield expecting some share price appreciation over the next 4 years. Does that seem reasonable?

If Green companies are going to be favored in the future do you have some names you like for long term holds?

Q: You commented in early November that you thought this was a good REIT with attractive sustainable dividend yield. Since then it has dropped below $8.50 to within 5% of the 52 week low. Div yield looks even more attractive now. Any change to your view?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Hello Peter & Co,
I usually consult the coverage summary to verify the ratings; but I'm intrigued by the data you also provide eg (1) start date, meaning when? (2) monthly returns...from when? P&L 2015 or total...profit and loss? Perhaps you could provide an explanatory note.
Thanks,
Antoine

Q: Peter; I'm not sure how to phrase this but here goes. Since being a member since 2012 I have bought, sold and held various 5i suggestions. Some went up - some went down but overall I am so far ahead that I can only " suggest" to some of the more impatient members to try and remember that if they owned a mutual fund or ETF they would not have the opportunities available to them at 5i by sending in questions or queries etc . If you weren't pleased by a mutual fund or ETF's performance you can sell it. I guess at 5i you could just drop your membership. This is one of the reasons that I don't think a Forum is a good idea. Post if you wish. Rod
Q: Hello,
I bought TD some time ago at 55 looking to convert to US. Unfortunately the plan didn't work (in order to sell in US you have to call the brokerage and I could not get through). Long story short the stocked dropped the next day and jut now I'm even.
My question is what do you expect when they announce the earnings?
Is it worth holding? Should I sell it in U$ and if yes do you have any US stocks that you recommend ( I know you don't follow the us market, but I think you should really start)?
Thanks
Marios
