Q: I am wondering why we would even consider buying Canadian stocks at this time with Donald in power? He looks to kill our economy and realistically could along with many others to make America supposedly great again Thx James

Q: Can tou please share your opinion on MO, PM and BTI? Is this a good time to initiate a position? Which one do you prefer and why? What do you expect from thr names going forward, both mid and long term?
Q: I'd like to know how much you find important to diversify through asset classes for a young investor with little financial responsabilities and a salary covering well over his regular expenses.
In my situation, I have no real estate, but 95% stocks diversified across sectors and geographies and 5% cash position to cover 8-10 months of living expenses in case of emergency. I am 27 and wondering if it is OK to have no bonds at all and focus on stocks? If one can tolerate a severe market correction-recession and has 25-40 years ahead of him, would bonds only be useful to help the investor feel more comfortable and a full-stock portfolio still be a better option?
Is the %Stocks=100-age a good thumb rule or just an overrated commonality?
If you consider one should still always hold some bonds, what would you consider a reasonable weighting for a young investor and what ETF(s) would you suggest?
Thank You!

Q: What is your opinion of this stock?
Q: Hello I am looking for your general thoughts on the growing MJ industry. I had purchased the HMMJ etf at the start of it's trading debut and once I had doubled+ I sold off enough to cover my initial investment. I am now playing with the house's money so to speak. With a date set for legalization I think these companies will start to have more pressure to perform and make money. If this is the case do you think a serious drop in stock valuation will happen if and when these companies don't make expectations? If you were in my situation would you sell and look to put the profit to work elsewhere? If yes then any suggestions? Please assume I am well balanced in all accounts. Deduct as many question credits as you see fit. Thanks
Q: ALA> what are your thoughts ? some say buy, some say dont touch it , is the dividend safe? do you have a target ayear out? thx . Jack
Q: I have 4% position in NFI in my RRSP. The value has dimished by more than 15% since I added it to my portfolio and continue to decline almost everyday due to NAFTA related issue, I suppose. Would you suggest divesting at this juncture? Or should I buy and average it. Thanks for the advice
Q: Do you know the reason this stock has declined significantly in the past two days?
Q: Your thoughts on GE after today's announcement?
Thanks
Thanks
Q: Ax.un is showing a little weakness. I see no specific news. Is it ok to buy for income?
Q: Recently NFI has shown weakness well beyond the norm. Has there been any news that might indicate the apparent flurry of selling? I am aware that some folks look to transport stock movements as a precursor of a potential weakening economy (the old saw about financial markets being a leading economic indicator). Thanks for all the help that you and fellow members provide me with. Bill
Q: good day i was thinking of purchasing NFI with the weak price performance What are your thoughts , i realize the tariff talk at the border may not be helping .Thank you so much
Q: TV is under $1.00! Your thoughts, buy?
Q: is it a good time to buy TSGI for a 2.5% position with this sudden drop or should we wait a bit for thing to settle

Q: Hi, Stock price has dropped over $5 in past three days, since pricing was announced by the company, presently trading US$35 against the bought deal at US$38. I have a feeling that the precipitous drop is not just due general market pull back. Company also announced a $750 mln Bond offering on Monday. Underwriters/investors who bought 25 million shares are already under water, so who is selling and why ? Do you suggest any action in the near term ? I guess, many of 5i members already have partial or full position at higher prices by now. Thanks
Q: Should I average down on ECN.PR. A . Already have a large position 13%. I also hold position in ECN 3%
Q: Is the drop on these two companies over done???
What is your assessment for the future?

Q: Aside from cash and gold, what do you recommend as defence while the current imbroglio plays out? I am not looking for inverse ETFs or anything like that, just the sort of thing that does a bit better in a potentially tumultuous environment but that can also be a longer term hold. Defensive yes, but no defence sector please. I am looking for individual stocks or general sectoral recommendations. Thank-you.

Q: For an income porfolio (like 5iR's), I am thinking of buying CAR.Un and IIP.un for a long-term hold/investment. I know 5iR held CAR,un and am familiar with the differences between these two RIETs (thanks to the question/answers by 5iR). I would like to buy both as a combo. My question is what weighting would you give to a combination of these two?.....Like 4 or 5%?........And what would be the split be? ....like 50%-50% ?.....Thanks.....Tom
Q: Good day team, with LNR testing 52 week lows, is it time to start a position or is more downside likely. I know MG is the better of the two but for value picking I'm thinking LNR
