Q: PETS has attractive fundamentals, including for example : high ROE, strong balance sheet, a business model that appears to have much promise for the future. The market is not impressed and continues aggressively to push share price down-down-down. Please have a look at your Bloomberg and do tell: what am missing! I like the numbers, the business and am tempted to initiate a position. I am interested in buying but hesitate because the market at large is ignoring--- if not rudely shunning--- this company. What risks do I not see? The business model SEEMS good. Do you think its moat to be reasonably attractive? Does this venture have good prospects going forward?

Q: Next year I have to withdraw 5.28% from my RRIF account. Instead of investing the amount in a GIC for 1year, what dividend stocks would you recommend for 1 year that gives me a good dividend, are relatively safe and has some growth. Or is better to go to a GIC?

Q: Hi, For several weeks, Constellation Software has been trading in a range $920 -$980.
Even on strong market days, stock is not bale to break out of this range. This is after stock touching a high of $1135 and later trading as low as $897 ( 20% swing). There has been no news. Do you think, the stock is expensive or any other reason of this lackluster performance ? Do you see share price back up in $1100 + range over next 12-18 months, if I need to trim my position ? Q: Lads the above are my US dollar income tilt portfolio holdings. My goal is to add some US cash to stable dividend payers (some of these and perhaps some others you can suggest). Two questions I have - first, could you possibly rank these 9 from most stable to least so I can consider which ones are the most stable to add to my current holding and second, can you recommend some other US equities providing a minimum 3% dividend that you view as stable holdings. I have to admit, what Altagas is doing here isn't all that clear and I have the following email from RBC Direct Investing just moments ago, so am concerned this will drag the (already beaten up) stock lower, at least in the short term. Your thoughts are, as always, most welcome!

Q: You mentioned that these are among your choices if an investor added some Kitimat LNG exposure. I have a couple questions.
1) With the “Green Light” given, how long do you think it will take to have these stocks trade at or above Price/Book. Is this an important factor for you?
2) If not now, what would your signal to buy shares be given production in 2025?
3) do you have concerns that this project could still be stymied and not proceed?

Q: Hi,

Looking at taking up a position in IPL and/or ALA. 2 year timeframe.
Looking for both growth and dividend.

Q: MAXR is no longer a company you like much. You did before and your view of MAXR went from positive to negative and you seemed just as disgusted as others at the company. I am down some 35% from cost. This is a request asking you to confirm (or deny) that you have in fact given up on them (?). If however you have regained confidence in the company’s prospects, I would appreciate your updated thinking and the reasons. MAXR’s results are lumpy and contracts can be wildly profitable or go horribly wrong. But do you believe the outlook is better now?

At first glance, it may appear my question below concerns ‘market timing’. No, it isn’t that except in a very limited or narrow sense. I can’t use the tax loss and I want to increase the Canadian content of investments (I have only 5% of assets in Canada and want to increase same to 25%.

QUESTION : Since we are now in tax loss harvesting season, am I better to sell AFTER the tax loss season ? Is there ANY logic to the thinking that , all else being equal, I am more likely than not to get a less depressed price AFTER the tax loss selling stampede? I am not looking for a definitive answer (that’s not available). I am looking for your insight BEYOND first level numbers and data. ( I did buy companies from 5i model portfolios and ones I bought are all down but at least most seem to have possibilities. If you think there is now hope for MAXR, please advise reasons your opinion has evolved to conclude there might be chance MAXR is worth holding.

Q: This stock finished up 63% on October 2nd and I cannot find any news besides unrelated stories about CBD infused teas and other drinks potentially coming to market in the coming months-years by other companies maybe DTEA?. Is this the reason it jumped up so much or is there another reason I have been unable to source? Thanks
