Q: In most bear markets I would turn to a security that is negatively correlated to the equities, such as TLT. However with interest rates at historic lows, can there be much more upside to TLT?

Q: Realizing that all the above listed securities differ, they all got battered like everything else. Your opinion would be appreciated as to slowly buying into these positions and your preferred ordering.
Thank you, as always!

Q: What has been proving to be non-correlated to equities in this market? From a quick look, not really the usual suspects such as bonds, gold or even bitcoin. I expect the best answer to this question will come with more hindsight, but appreciate your views. Thanks!
Q: I have held TLT prior to the market mayhem . Is it too late add more or should I be trimming? Educated guess please. Thanks

Q: Hi, bonds in USA, what time frame would you pick. I have SHY now.
Q: Are there a few stocks or ETF's that will have a low correlation to the balanced portfolio but offer higher returns than bonds(XBB). Any ideas?
Thanks again!

Q: Goodmorning 5i,
You recently recommended shv for a reader seeking to place short term money. I have owned tlt and have found it a bit volatile for my safe money. Although, if this is not too contradictory, i plan to buy it back after the virus scare finishes. But, i was wondering whether in the US, whether you might suggest something between these two, that is, something with a higher return than shv but not as volatile as tlt?
Thanks

Q: What is the advantage or disadvantage in investing in ZTL versus TLT? Are they ok in TFSA? Are there other bond ETFs you would prefer.
Thank you
Thank you
Q: Goodmorning 5i
I just asked for a less volatile replacement for tlt. But, i didn't specify that i wanted a US eplacement. You suggested BNS. The only thing i find in looking for that is preferred shares. Appreciate your help

Q: Hello 5i,
I bought too much tlt and i am thinking of selling some in this recent rise in price. could you suggest something less volatile in the us fixed income space? I have enough volatility with stocks and am looking for something steadier with my fixed income side
Thanks

Q: Working on the fixed income portion of my portfolio, thinking of the above plus IYLD all at 4.24% except ZAG at 6.36%.
Retired and looking for income, do I need to increase, decrease or eliminate any, or add something better?
Would all of these be best in RRSP?

Q: hello 5i,
I have generally done well with your stocks but I bought tlt:US only a couple of weeks ago. I am already down 4 percent. I imagine I bought at a bad time because it has gone up for the year. Now stock markets are moving up and bonds, I guess are moving down. I am at a bit of a loss regarding how to proceed with this. I suppose I should buy something like gst's with fixed income to make sure i don't lose money. so, the question is what to do with tlt now. Do you still consider it worthwhile in the current situationÉ
thanks

Q: Hello 5i team,
My portfolios are mostly stocks and with a possible recession coming next year, I would like to purchase bond ETFs for both my CDN and U.S. portfolios. At this point would you recommend long or short or ultra short ETFs? and could you suggest a couple of each ( CDN and U.S)? Thanks Carlo

Q: Assuming a decrease in interest rates which government bond funds would you recommend for capital appreciation here and in the US. Greetings, Peter.
Q: Yesterday I asked for a recommendation for US fixed income and you suggested tlt. I have to say that I don’t have a good understanding of fixed income. So I was wondering if you could tell me why this particular etf is your choice in this environment? I suppose I am asking for a course on fixed income, a large request. So, if there is some resource you could direct me to, that would be fine.
Thanks
