Q: Some analysts say investors should reduce their bond exposure and move to equities with their thinking there is a 'bond bubble'. Another analyst stated on BNN recently that an investor should not destroy an equity - bond allocation because that could backfire. As a retired person I would appreciate your comments on this situation. Thanks kindly.

Q: Any idea what is driving Rogers Communication (rci.b) down these last few days. Is it Netflix's comment on wanting to bid for television programs in Canada; is it fear of the government wanting to encourage more players in the telecomm space; or has Rogers announced they are getting out of the communications business and are going to become an exploratory gold miner in Africa?

I own a 60% position in Telus I plan on ramping up to a full position over time. However, I am also thinking of starting a position in Rogers here as well. Thoughts? Thanks, as always.

Q: Okay i have been sitting on Wi-lan for a while and after a year of losing patience there seems to some activity brewing up.Is it being caused by street speculation or is a base being formed from the recent more positive news. Thanks Doug

Q: Peter, I am wondering if EQI Equity financial is a better buy here at 10.80 that HCG at 52.? I understand EQi is smaller with more upside. Is it as safe as HCG?

Q: Hello: I have a general question, about using stop losses. Can you provide some guidance about how best to use these? I am wondering how long to put them in for, and should I think of them as soon as I buy a stock or let it go up and then put in my purchase price soon, so I don't incur any losses, for example. Q: Hi Peter and thoughts on the report yesterday issued by Veritas Investment research in regards to the big 3 telecom companies in Canada and the possibility of increased competition in this space? I see Rogers took a pretty good hit. The analyst is suggesting the possibility of a 15% hit in the share price of all 3 if the regulations are changed by June 5.

Q: GoldCorp - the selloff continues! I'm down from $32.90 and it traded down to $27 this AM. Any changes in the fundamentals that would cause me to want to dump this? There are many out there now speculating the gold bull run could be finished, if the economy keeps on picking up. Do you still hold to your thesis of a gold recovery? Strikes me odd that GoldCorp is taking larger hits than many mid caps golds on this latest selloff.
