Q: Seeking Alpha posted an article March 30 on ISDR which looks interesting. As a US small cap I appreciate it is not the type of stock you normally cover but as a smaller relatively unknown company with good growth potential it is the type you might cover & I wondered if you knew anything about it?

Q: What are your thoughts on Crown Castle International (CCI in the US) as a long term stable force in a portfolio? I'm looking for stability and some growth in Communications in the US. Would this also double as a REIT?
In terms of its competition, how would you rank CCI against American Tower and SBA Communications? ... and here's the naive part of the question, but ... do these tower companies hold footing in Canada as well, or what would be the equivalent for a Canadian holding?
Thanks!

Q: With the trillions of dollars held offshore by US Corporations what would be the impact to European Banks when Trump approves the repatriation of these funds back to USA at a low tax rate. Would monies out of the USA be on deposit or held in government short term investments or US Treasuries. Would there be any negative impact to European Banks or local currencies ie Euro or pound etc when money is brought back to USA ? Bob
Q: Hi,
What debt to equity number do you have for QSR? I see values ranging from 1.4 to 5. The most up to date numbers are closer to 5.
Clearly investors are not terribly concerned. Why is such a high d/e not a problem?
Thanks,
Gord

Q: Hi Peter and Staff,
What do you think about the turnaround story at FireEye. Could this stock get back to the $20-$25 level within the next year or two? According to their inventor presentation released Feb 2/17 "Q4 2016 Financial Results" they have made some progress towards trimming their sale and marketing expenses year over year. Any perspective you have would be appreciated!
Thanks Steve.

Q: Hi,
I have some questions to ask:
1) I have noticed that there has been insider buying in Whitecap Resources (WCP) and Raging River Exploration (RRX), but they dropped by 2% and 4.5% respectively on March 30. Do you have any comments/idea why this happened?
2) Why is MacDonald Dettwiler (MDA) finally moving upside?
3) Peter Lynch avoids investing in computer stocks since new computer/tech companies keep popping up. But he also mentioned keep an open mind to new ideas. In Davos Economic Forum it was mentioned that we are currently in the fourth industrial revolution which is electronic based. Do you have any suggestions for stocks participating in this trend?
Thank you.

Q: 10,000 Americans a day will reach the age of 65 and this will continue for the next 19 years. That's 3,500,000 a year times 19 years. More walkers, hips, knees, wheelchairs, nursing homes, retirement homes, pain pills, drugs. More of what Savaria ( SIS ) produces. Great for Savaria !
What other Canadian & U.S. Companies will benefit from this great explosion of aging of America . Is Canada in a similar situation. Baby Boombers, Bob

Q: What is your opinion about Verizon? I understand Telcos are not necessarily good in a rising interest environment. I hope the news is already factored in the share price. I am looking to buy it for the dividend and about 4 to 5 percent capital appreciation. Thanks
Q: I was wondering if you could add anything to my understanding of this company whose share price has stagnated over the past year. The takeover of Jarden was well received by analysts and the quarterly results afterward seemed to suggest things were progressing well. A number of analysts recommend the stock so is it just range bound at this time for no particular reason or is there something else at play?
Appreciate your insight.
Paul F.

Q: I'm interested you identify ALGN as a possible acquisition target. What companies do you think might have interest in buying ALGN?
Q: This may be an off the wall question but it relates to Tesla's quest to build electric stations throughout the world to energize electric cars and the consequential loss of market share of ATD/B in it's gas station units should Tesla succeed.
The question is: do you feel that an investment in both companies simultaneously would be a better bet than opting for one or the other?
