Q: Follow-up comment to the question asked by Cameron on CSU ever having been approached for a takeover.

Suggest reading the old annual President Letters for some very interesting CSU history.

Several years ago, when the shares were around $50, some large shareholders were unhappy with the stock valuation so the board of CSU tried to sell the company. They were unsuccessful. The sale process itself resulted in a rise in share price and liquidity for investors who were looking to get out. The board found the process to be very time consuming and distracting and were glad to put it behind them and go back to growing the business. Stock is up 20 fold since then.

Lets hope the business can continue for several more years before the last chapter is written.

Q: Hi Guys,

I was thinking of buying SIS at $16.60. After reading many of your answers I know you really like the company.

Why does the stock price keep dropping going against your recent recommendations?

Do you see a problem with their Chinese factory and importing goods into the US especially with how "Donald" is acting?

Any comments would be appreciated.

Thanks
John

Q: Would you expect PBH to hold up as well as Loblaw in a downturn? I hold both as part of my non-cyclical portion of my portfolio but I view PBH's growth prospects as greater and am therefore considering selling Loblaw. I realize that Loblaw is significantly larger although your report shows PBH's shares did hold up well in the last recession. My main concern with PBH is that a significant portion of revenues/profits comes from specialty foods. Would you expect this sector to hold up well in a downturn as I don't know if PBH product mix has changed significantly since 2008? I have no intention of selling PBH - I am just wondering if I can find a better substitute for Loblaw.

Appreciate your insight.

Q: Hi,
All the forecasts I’ve read for 1 year target for photon put it around 2.2-2.25. At 2.3 today, do you see much upside left or is the best part of this ride over? I’ve done well with it, so thanks to 5i for making me aware of it. If I was to cash out, do you have any other names for high growth companies that you would recommend a switch to? please name your top 3-4 as I own many of the companies you regularly recommend.

Thanks

Q: I am confused,so please help me to understand.TSGI had a decent run the last 2 weeks esp. yesterday(when it was up $2.41),but drop today as there was a bond financing..In my mind, equity financing creates an overhang as dilutive & price set lower than market's price,so how does bond financing comes into play.Guess today's increase in rate by the Fed (as expected)plus 2 more in 2018 may have a negative impact. Thanks for u usual great services & views

Q: Hi

Two months ago I invested a severance that closely followed your balanced portfolio. It has done well. I recently had a pension transferred to a LIRA and want to invest that too. A part of me is hesitant to invest the LIRA in equities such as CSU or GC as examples given their terrific gains already. 8 weeks ago CSU was $900 and I thought I was taking a risk then but it went up even higher so it worked out. My question is when is it too late to hop on the 5i train? especially if you are a relatively new subscriber such as myself. Note, I still do my own research and make my own adjustments on my portfolio.

I'm really glad I subscribed. It has been a great decision thus far.

Thanks!

Q: Would you consider the Stars Group still a reasonable buy at its current share price?

Would you consider the Stars Group a potential take-over target?

Thank you so much. I still hold the Stars shares I bought many years ago when your dream team recommended it. It has been a wonder stock - right up there with Constellation Software and many other winners you have recommended.

Well done and thanks, Peter
