Investment Q&A

Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.

Q: Hello 5i team,
I am a value investor looking for dividend income. I would like to know if I should sell JNJ $3000 profit, M M M $4000 profit, T $5000 profit and others with $1000-$3000 profit. I do not need the money. I like to hold and sell only if there is a problem such as dividends disappearing.
If you write "sell" what do you think of "Old Republic", and "BB&T"? If you suggest "sell all with profits $1000-$4000" could you suggest replacements for dividends with a 10 year outlook?

thank you
Stanley

Q: Hi Peter! SIS said in their statement "There are over a thousand resellers of accessibility products in North America." Their purpose behind this statement was to iterate that there are many opportunities for acquisitions that could improve synergies, but I'm more concerned about how they maintain a competitive advantage. Do they depend too much on R&D? If not, what makes them stand out from the rest and what are the barriers to entry? Is there any brand loyalty among its customers? Do you see them being bought out in the future (i.e. like United Technologies that own OTIS elevators)? Thanks!

Q: Hi. Ceapro is , I believe, a company that is making inroads into the cosmetics industry with natural grains etc and NO animal testing. Do you folks know much about this company. Also, as I do not invest in companies I consider to be ethically questionable, do you have ideas about ethical companies with good growth or income outlooks? Thanks.
