Q: Peter, and staff, no hurry, but my inherited adviser threw out the name Freegold Ventures. I like the cash position, but personally don't see much immediate upside. Any thoughts?

Q: Hi, Peter
Have you changed the way you display your Questions and answers?
It seems that we get all answers from the previous day at the same tome the next day and that no more answers will be posted during the day.
If this is the case, congratulations, this will allow me to avoid refreshing your page of answers all day long and save me a lot of extra time during the day.
Thanks

Q: Hi Peter, what is your opinion on BNE? I have not seen any question on it. Interestingly, XDV has lots of it (6%)and wonder why. BTW, it pays 3.12 in dividend and earns 1.69. Thanks Karl
Q: Could I have your thoughts on ShawCor -SCL.A- subsequent to the failure to sell the company and the current proposal to eliminate its dual class shares by buying out the shares of controlling shareholder, Virginia Shaw, for $43.43 in cash and stock. Would you consider it buyable at the current $40.00 level? Any caveats? Thank-you for your response.
Q: Peter; What would be our thoughts on a switch from BMO to Telus or RCI.B? I am sure the questions must be piling up so no hurry .

Q: There was a full page of publicity by Graphite One (GPH.V) in the National Post (Financial Post) on January 28, 2013. Is this an interesting stock ?
Q: This is a follow-up to your answer on DGI indicating you thought it was improving but still risky due to debt largely. They have a convertible debenture with a fair yield that is trading between 70-75. Would this be reasonable for a good yield to maturity?
Q: Good Morning 5i Team
My question concerns fees I pay for my RRSP and RESP accounts. I am currently with a large Canadian Bank and have approximately 250k invested. Although I get 90 free trades per year ( exercising maybe 30 of those) and have access to a personal advisor I find the advice stale and generic. I am making all the investment choices on my own aside from a few bond investments my advisor has made for me.
I currently pay about $3500 in fees. Is this reasonable? Especially in light of what I'm getting in return. I find over the course of my membership with 5i I have benefitted much more than my entire relationship with my bank.
Thank you

Q: Peter, with the growth we have had in Cr Point over the years I feel it is time to lower our holdings in it by about 23%.In order to replace the income from this 23% I am thinking of putting it into Baytex 63% Eagle energy 24% and Parrallel energy 13%. We need the extra yield from Eagle and or Parralel to get the same income we had from it being in Cr, Point. Your opinion please? I feel Baytex is very good. Eagle or Parralel? Thanks Ken
Q: Hi, on a Jan 20th comment you said U.S. dividends are subject to a 15% withholding tax, which can be partly recoverable? What do you mean by that? Is there a form we would have to fill out for tax filing? Or is it already calculated in our T forms? My 2nd question is how do we claim a tax loss on bankrupt companies that are not tradable anymore and is just unfortunately sitting there in our accounts?
Q: Hi Peter, quick thoughts on Canada Zinc Metals, CZX.
Q: Peter, would you comment on the restructuring of ShawCor?
