Q: RPL Renegade petroleum. You have had previous questions on this co. and I do not understand how the dividend can be so high. It looks like there could be a dividend cut in the future. If you were committing $s to sector which would you do, BNP, or RPL. Comments please

Could you please comment on the earnings announcement from hlp.un on Mar 7. Are the earnings as good as you expected? Was there anything in the annoucement that you considered unexpectedly good or bad?

Q: Hi 5i,

Let's revisit a company I've asked about last October, Symbility Solutions (TSXV: SY). The stock has been creeping up slowly and steadily since then. And they keep announcing new licensing agreements. In the past week alone, they announced over 3 new clients. How excited should the market be about these new agreements if this is the rate they keep signing them?

Q: FirstService-FSV-seems to represent the real estate sector in the Model Portfolio as there are no REITs or REOCs included. I own the slightly larger MRC, Morguard Corp, as a comparable long term hold already but I wonder what you would view as a potential catalyst to propel FSV and do you think it is an undiscovered Morguard? Thanks.

Q: Peter,

A follow up question on BIP.un, with regard to the PE ratio. It is a very confusing number and appears extremely high. What would you consider the normalized PE to be and I gather Cash Flow would be a better metric to analyse the business?

Q: Hi Guys,

What are your thoughts on TCN's recent earnings announcement? Their growth and upside appear to be excellent. I am concerned with their net income which negative (but this maybe a short term blip because of the recent purchases). I am also concerned that there was no mention of a dividend increase since this would usually be a point of inflection that a company would announce an annual dividend increase. mike

ps I recently gladly renewed my membership and also purchased money sense. When could I expect to receive my first magazine? Thank for your excellent service and I hope you set up a new portfolio each year and continue manage the existing dividend (adding and removing). Would you also consider adding a dividend growth model portfolio.

Q: Questions about drips and what is the best way to handle. I do not use the income at this time just reinvest whe have enough money. The brokerage I use gave two different answers. 1.They buy the shares with the company discount 2. You have to actually hold the shares to obtain the discount and if you do then partial shares are also bought. How do investors know what is the best way to go. Value in investing 5iresearch
