Q: I recently bought into Klaviyo as a speculative play based on Shopify having a significant stake in it. In looking at its quarterly report with my untrained laymen analysis skills, am I correct in thinking that things seem to be going okay with this company? I’d appreciate your thoughts about where, provided things go well, this company is going in the future? (Steady grower, volatile changes, buy out candidate) Are there any comparables?
Thank you for the great service!
Mike
Q: In the US last week, there was a landmark agreement with the National Realtors Association that should change the way commissions are determined across the board. There should be more competition with lower commissions. Can you comment on how the decision and the new direction might impact the housing market here in Canada and what impact it may have on companies in the real estate buy/sell market? What companies might be affected? How big might the impact be? Who could be winners and losers?
Q: I am looking for a good dividend payer in a non-registered account. The industry does not really matter but a stable dividend and preferably a growing dividend would be important for the next 3 years.
Would Cascades be a good bet? If it is, what would be a reasonable entry point for price?
Q: Can you comment of report that SHOP CEO is up for a $200m stock bonus? The Globe mentions it may be based on performance of the stock price itself. Does the CEO need this type of incentive considering he already owns 40% of the company?
Q: Does every disposition of shares during a year have to be reported on your tax return even if you still hold a position in the stock at the end of year-end?
Q: I keep reading and stock keeps growing. Would you buy at current price, as likely not getting a pull back and what weighting would you consider. Cheers!
Q: Not sure of my source, could you confirm that Dream Unl has 16% shares of Dream ind reit? Also, since they manage the reit, curious to know how they get paid for the services?
Q: Good Evening
Why is it that only American analysts recommend selling a stock and not Canadian analysts ?
For instance the three analysts that recommend selling Fortis are all American.
Thank you
Q: Assume that you've come across LMN's annual report. You have no idea the name of the company and its attachment to CSU. You area also aware of past metrics, and other numbers - the short history that it has.
Question - based on seeing these numbers, what do you see as a reasonable P/C and P/S valuation (or any other better valuation metric) for this unknown company in an assumed economic slowdown....just roughly. Thanks.
Q: 2question please: Have you changed your ideal entry price from 65$?and why? Also what is giving White Cap along with others in energy some momentum and can you see White Cap hitting 11$ or more? Tks.Larry
Q: Would you please provide your thoughts on GCT and its recent earnings. Seems odd that it advanced significantly immediately after the earnings were announced, and then the next trading day it gives back all the gains, and is now lower than the day prior to the earnings announcement.
Q: I know you hold Palantir. Do you think it's over valued at this price? It seems like a promising company with intriguing software but I worry about buying it at this valuation. Thanks,
Q: Hi, doing some housekeeping and switching the above two stocks in my non registered account to bipc and bepc ?
Could you suggest 1-2 other stocks you like , maybe with more growth and smaller dividend. I will probably keep bipc, but overweight bepc. Sector not a issue.
Thanks
Q: On March 19, Ron asked about some sectors that 5i thought would do well over the next few years. One of those sectors that caught me by surprise was Communications. Are these telcos? Or is this more of stocks like GOOG?
