Q: Regarding yesterdays question on Vanguard ETF terminations
Why do you feel it is better to sell before termination? when the commission can be avoided by letting Vanguard distribute the cash to unit holders.

Q: Hi,
I'm trying to create a well balanced bond fund for that portion of my portfolio and have come up with this: HFR-T, CBO-T, CLF-T, TLT, XBB-T, CVD-T, SHY, FLOT, IVOL, BNDX, VSG-T
I guess I should have something that will generate monthly income as well? If I am overdoing this, please let me know...it seems like a lot of holdings. Is there a better way? A mutual fund?

Q: Hello,

When it comes to bonds and interest rates I am like a deer in headlights. What would a negative interest rate scenario impact an etf like VSB and VSG or a longer term bond fund?

Q: XBB, HFR and FLOT have not held up well during this challenge. Can you suggest some liquid bond ETF's that will simply stay flat and pay a modest dividend?

Q: Can I get your thoughts on this etf? It only has $34 million in net assets. I am looking for a government bond ETF with a 1 to 5 year bonds with a reasonable management fee. Trying to get a bit more yield than GICs while preserving my capital. Any other investments that can achieve this? Thanks for your suggestions.
