Q: Hi Peter,

Always nice to see you as a guest on Market Call.
I noticed you don't personally own any of the past picks you talked about.
Just curious, how do you participate in the "market"? ETF's, low cost mutual funds, individual stocks? Do you own any of the stocks from your published portfolios?

Q: On Nov 20, 2015 you replied to Herbert "Because the Caisse's interest is directly into a subsidiary, there is not dilution in the usual sense in terms of shares issued. BBD will get capital, and simply own less of the unit. BBD has also asked the Federal government for money."

1) I am trying to understand. If BBD own less, doesn't that mean BBD shareholders will own less, get less of the revenue/earnings pie and in the end, result in some of shareholder dilution?

2) Additionally, I have to believe that with all the money this company is getting from government bodies that this will also create further dilution (unless it is money that is invested to protect jobs..) ?

Q: Good Afternoon what do you think of today's news for BNK? Looks like the Albanian government has seized their local bank account in order to try and collect a tax amount of $75 million, the shares are getting crushed down 21%, is this an opportunity or another example of why to stay away from risky jurisdictions such as Albania?

Q: It is my understanding that most of the payments to inspira will be from insurance co. or obamacare. So little risk. On bnn yesterday you were talking about savaria and said the you do not officially cover the co. I do not really understand how it can be in the portfolio if it is not properly researched ie covered

Q: I own the above and while I am underwater somewhat I thought holding was probably the right thing to do, but I have to admit that all the talk about oil and job losses in Alberta is weighing on my mind.
I am thinking that a lot of mortgages are going to fail and not only in the West but with the job fallout in the East too. So I would like to know what you think of selling hcg and buying enf. Q: Hello Peter and 5i Team,

I really enjoyed Peter's appearance on BNN yesterday, and was pleased that some 5i members called in. DSG was one of the "Top Picks", and I'm wondering how "close" KXS came to be chosen as an alternative top pick in the Technology space.

Also, according to the TMX website,KXS has a beta of 1.845, while DSG has a beta of -.025. Is this perhaps why DSG made the "Top Pick" grade, or is beta a less important metric in this case? Or was DSG chosen because KXS is in the more volatile Growth Portfolio,whereas DSG is in the more stable Balanced Portfolio?

Q: I completely understand Inspira is early stages and risky. There are three potential hurdles that I don't completely understand:
1) Do they attach some sort of lien on the payments due to the lending Doctors from the US Government?
2) If not, and they have defaults, would that influence their bankers with regard to amounts loaned and would they have to borrow at higher rates or would the banks eventually cut them off?
3) What are the odds of a policy change by the Government to pay quicker and eliminate the need for Doctors' borrowing?
Finally, how would you value this company proportionate to their loan book?
May I add my vote of confidence for your service which is prompted by some negative comments. Members get 24 questions directly to two seasoned portfolio managers with no conflict with the companies they discuss. That's about $5 per question! No one is perfect but if members listen to the message, which is diversify, remember why you bought the company (hopefully, not because "Peter said so"), don't panic and stick (mostly) to quality, growing companies, you will make money over time. I still can't believe I can ask these questions for $5!! I have paid as much as $900 per year for some sites and they won't even talk to you. 5i is worth multiples of what they charge.

How do you view the fact that HCG announced in the Q3 earnings call that it is planning on continuing a normal course issuer bid going forward, yet the CEO Solloway has sold 40,000 shares in the past week? Q: Could you give an opinion of the fmv of the shares? Is applying a 15 p/e based on earnings growth of 15-20% too conservative or simplistic or should one focus on other metrics like roe etc? Q: With the Caisse (Quebec)taking a .30% interest in Bombardier's rail unit, I feel the Quebec government is taking control of Bombardier with also the interest in the C series Airplane. Thus, how does this affect the shareholders, and is it a dilution of shareholders interest (shares)?

How practical/advisable is it to use this source as basis for sell/buy of US stocks. There are in-frequent deletions/additions to the list by the S&P advisers.
