Q: Indigo Books and Music Inc. IDG
Indigo has been on an upward trend since Aug. 2012 and is approaching a 52 week high. The trend I must admit is somewhat irregular. I would appreciate your comments on the future of this company.

Q: I read yesterday that Wesport Terminals (WTE) has applied for a license to export oil (brought in by rail). It was only one line. Do you know anything more---chances of getting permission, chances of successful operation etc. If one were to take a new position in WTE, would it be better to do it now or wait for a better entry from their next quarter reduced earnings due to the damage repair from the accident with the ship hitting part of it?

Q: Would like your opinion on Stans energy HRE, I realize it's rather small but has an interesting story in the rare earth metals.

How do you see the problem of land locked Western Canadian oil being solved or eased ? How much time will it take and how will the price for this oil be say in a year or so as compared to WT oil prices.
Where do you see North American Production in 5 Years in light of the new technologies.

The increase in US oil supply, coupled with the decrease in demand and pipelines issues, paints a sorry picture for the oil sands. Both big and small Canadian producers will likely suffer in the short and medium term, until some meaningful new outlet takes place. Additional Canadian production in the coming year will further exacerbate the problem. Yet, all this is likely to be resolved with time. Some producers with upgraders, like COS,
might be better off, but most, whether it be CNQ, SU or IMO, will be affected. The months ahead might not be rosy. Would you simply advise staying the course, or transitioning for regular accounts or RRSP accounts into other traditional stocks ?

Q: Hello 5i Team, recently all of the news regarding the Fiscal Cliff has centered around not getting it resolved. If they do come to an agreement do you see upside potential in the market over the short term?

Q: Merry Christmas Peter to you and the team at 5i and continuing success in 2013. LNV? Longview is on a relentless trip south and its latest status report is middling at best. Is the slide overdone through tax loss selling or has this outfit disappointed to the point the stock should be dumped?

Q: I purchased ECA two weeks ago and the share price has gone down 5% since my purchase. Now with the Petrochina deal in the works, how do you think it will affect the price (short term and long term)? ECA is 10% of my portfolio and I also hold CNQ and TOU, also each 10%.
