Q: I am very pleased with performance of SIS. I have a double past 12 months.

Question is what other Canadian Companies will benefit from the aging of Canadians. I read that 10,000 Americans a day reach the age of 65 ( The Baby Boomers ) and this will continue for the next 18 years. That is a lot of people that will need some form of assistance. We must have similar demographics in Canada.

What U S Companies fall into this category as well as Canadian Companies Thanks very much. bob

Q: Hi,

I'm currently only holding XEF(1.5%) and VEE(1%) for international and EM exposure. I'm looking to increase it a bit more maybe to 5%, as the rest of my portfolio is in US or CAD equities. I know you have talked about VXUS as a good international ETF to hold and the expense ratio of 0.11% is hard to beat. When I look at the regional allocation for VXUS, 19.3% is EM, so if we just hold that, would we even need to hold VEE? What do you think would be best to hold to have international and EM exposure? How about VI and VIU (exposure excl. North America)?

Was looking at one or two good quality ETF's to hold. Your thoughts on how they compare?

Thanks!

Q: Your current opinion on CARA please. It continues to under perform. Would you recommend selling it and buying something else in the Consumer space? Thanks.

Q: Hi 5iResearch Team,

I have a full position on CVS for just over a year the stock has not been doing great over this period of time. I understand from a piece on BNN that Amazon is looking at getting into the pharmacy business.

If indeed that comes to past, I imagine it would impact negatively on pharmacies such as CVS, Walgreen, etc. So I am contemplating of liquidating my position on CVS. Your comments and thoughts on this would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Harry

Q: Is the ADR LYG.N tfsa eligible. If so I'm assuming the dividends are paid in USD and would be taxed. Would you consider this a good play on the European and financial turnaround themes I see currently. And could you compare it's growth prospects for the remainder of the year with MFC.T. Incredible site. Thank you.

Q: Hi,

According to Morningstar, ECI's dividend payout ratio is 184 %. If I am not mistaken, such a high ratio is often a sign that the dividend is unsustainable. According to your latest report and answers, ECI seems to be in good shape financially and well set up for future growth, even after the recent earnings miss. Could you please explain when and why such a high ratio should or should not be a source of worry?

Thank you very much!

Q: Just a comment and clarification on Stevens Qs: I am surprised the 6.25% minimum ECN preferred share financing is still open as it's only $100M. Does this reflect badly on the issue? I thought a 6.25% guaranteed minimum was a good buy even if rates eventually rise.
Thanks.

--- The issue was closed the same day at TD and the issue has been completed yesterday as per mail from TDW.

Issue Completed - ECN Capital Corp. 6.25% Cumulative Rate Reset Preferred Shares, Series C

I also see that they have taken the money from my account for shares allocated.
