Q: Your opinion on this company for an income oriented portfolio, please. I can't find any previous questions, and find that to be little strange.

Q: TV went up 40% today.Can you account for this change? Other than a large number of shares diluting the value & a report of an ore find are the only news items.The low current price of the ore should have countered the find.

Q: Would appreciate your input on AW.UN as an addition to The income part of my portfolio. Good divi and seems pretty solid for a 1 - 5yr keep. It is close to its all time high tho. Do you think it is running out of steam?

Q: I request your opinion on National Oilwell Varco (NOV.us). I have been holding NOV. Didn’t cut my losses . Just as the behavioral science fellows correctly say, I held on to NOV, BHI, and many other oil-related 'enterprises'. I dreamt of fabulous wealth gushing from this black gold. I have now been rudely awakened from slumber. Oil is not, after all, the black gold one thought. Gold remains yellow and elusive, while oil is apparently plentiful. In your opinion , based on your experience, instinct and the data on your Bloomberg , are oil service companies more likely than not to rise in value by end of year ? Is NOV’s dividend safe... or did the Doha Club just pull the rug under us?

Q: I am sitting on the sidelines with well over 6 figures intended for the oil patch. However, I have decided to wait a little longer based on current prices and/or conditions. In the interim I was contemplating parking funds into GUD based primarily on your very positive opinion of the CEO as well as the companies excellent Balance Sheet notwithstanding the current stock price which is currently flat from last year at this time. Q: Good morning Peter and Team,

In my TFSA, I recently sold GS as I was able to take some profits thanks to the dividends, but was getting frustrated with the almost daily declines. As a result, I now have 22% cash.

I have the following:
24.4% Consumer Cyclical: DHX.B; XTC
10.3% Financial: CXI; CEW*
21.2% Industrials: ECI
11.7% Technology: DSG
10.4% Utilities: AQN
22% Cash

*CEW is a small holding of 2.6%. My iTrade account permits some ETF's to be purchased commission-free, so I use it when some non-dripped dividends are paid.

In an otherwise balanced portfolio, how would you deploy the cash? I was thinking about adding Kinaxis KXS, but would using all the cash make Technology too large a weighting? Or do you have some other ideas?

As always, I really appreciate your advice and insight.

Q: So what is your take on the last earnings report?
I have 3% in my non taxable account, becomes a rrif in 6 years.
I bought it solely for the income, but am getting nervous at the lack of traction with this company.
Should I buy a little more, (cheaper/ div now over 5%), just keep it, or move on?

Q: Hi, MDA stock is showing some signs of life again, for past few days, after announcement of the US based CEO. Recent results also reflected some stability and a possible growth ahead. I moved out of the co. few months ago, due to inconsistent business results, slowing trend in satellite sales and stagnating stock performance. You have rated this stock highly in past. What is your view for restarting a position, of course, for a long term hold ? Thanks

Q: I have roughly 5% exposure to infrastructure, exclusively through WSP. I am comfortable with my position (my entry point is quite favourable), and do not wish to trim it. I have been making a concerted effort to consolidate the number of positions in my portfolio (aiming for roughly 30-40 in total) as I feel it makes it easier to make decisions on what to include, as well as when to enter and exit a position. My question is whether I should increase my exposure to this sector, either through STN or SNC, or if I should focus on improving exposure to other sectors. If I were to increase my exposure to infrastructure, I would only pick one position. Any comments would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.
