Q: Hi team,
Poydras just released it's Q2 numbers which looked strong and to be on the right path.However, the share price has languished at a 52 week low and there does not seem to be any catalyst moving the stock price in the right direction.There also seems to be a rumour about a ten for one stock consolidation. What would be your one to two year outlook on this company?

We have quite a bit of cash in our U.S. account and looking for a company or two to expand our U.S. holdings. Currently we hold GE, GILD, BA, CVX, JNJ, PEP, CSX, TSN, JCI, CMI, JPM and BEP.un. I am at a loss as to what would make a good addition... considering Ford. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Q: To follow up on my question regarding adding to CXI, would you prefer ESL or CGI for a 1-2 year timeframe. I already have ESL and it makes up about 3.5% of my portfolio. CGI seems to have had not the greatest past 6 months.

Q: Some specifics on phm.

They did an offering a bit before the fuss.
1. Was the offering @ $1.50?
2. I believe there were restrictions on selling which I believe come off September 8. Is this correct?

3. Is it likely that some who bought the offering would be upset enough to sell at that time even though at a loss?

4. If they are selling, is it likely they would sell the first day possible or try to spread it out?

5. If spread out ,over what period?

Q: My impression of the conference call is that:
1) they apologized and took responsibility for the meltdown but did not offer details as to what the original two still own, possibly because of legal advice or they just think it's been beaten to death.
2) the questions from three analysts - Mackie, Beacon and a third I didn't hear - were soft and supportive so, at least, they have not given up on this company and, in fact, congratulated the team on the latest acquisition.
3) the new people in charge will no longer promote LOI's but will only announced signed acquisitions while implementing new strategies to cross-sell in a more complete and continuing fashion with methods that were previously successful at Sleep Management.
4) Overall, there was an underlying sense that they know they made a massive error in judgement and who knows who benefited as the share price lately may prove to be a gift when you can buy a stock for 50 percent off when fundamentals haven't changed (forgive my cynicism but some made a lot of money on this charade and, I admit, I bought quite a few shares at around seventy cents) but the underlying theme that surfaced from each of four speakers is that they now know it's time to stop blowing their horn and get down to building a solid, profitable business in a $250B market and let their results speak for themselves. As John Templeton was famous for saying - "well done is better than well said".
I am sticking with them and in three years this will be a five dollar stock, in my view.

Q: I cannot understand why you prefer CSH.UN over SIA. Over the past year SIA is up over 20% whereas CSH.UN is up just over 9 %. CSH.UN yields 4.5% compared to 5.6% for SIA. You can look at 3 and 5 year comparisons and SIA is clearly ahead of CSH.UN is stock price appreciation. SIA has the momentum and pays a higher yield so beats CSH.UN on both counts. Can you please explain your preference for CSH.UN.

Q: Announced today that they retained a banking firm to review potential strategic and financial opportunities. Does this sound like the company is considering going private/selling itself, or looking to grow by merging with or acquiring another company? As a shareholder I would be more pleased with the latter as this allows me to participate in the growth of the company.

Q: Based on the release of restricted shares on Sept 5,what effect would you expect to both volume & share movement?
