Q: Hi, Hammond Power stock continues to make new highs every day. Scarcity of sellers and low liquidity is evident. An order for sale of 8000 shares at $84.82 was quickly snapped up by hungry buyers, in no time. Besides the low float, what are the fundamentals driving the stock with this incredible strength? How is the valuation today, with the elevated prices? If there was cash to deploy, would 5i consider increasing its position in the Portfolio, at these levels ? Thank You

Q: The two least profitable stocks in my entire portfolio are SIS (up an anemic 6% after two years) and PBH (up 10% in the same time period). I'd like to replace both with something growthier - but here's the catch - I want similar dividends (+/- 1%) and I want Canadian replacements in the same sector. My only other Consumer Defensive is COST. Current industrials are WSP, HPS.A, J, and TFII. I would welcome your speculation on how SIS and PBH are likely to grow this year...and what potential replacements might be. Thank you.

Q: If one was to anchor their RRSP portfolio with VBAL which is a 60 equity/40 fixed income split, but would like to be more 70/30. Would you add another ETF or two to achieve the desired weightings? Does this strategy make sense? What would be Five i's thoughts and suggestions.
Thank you

Q: It looks like, regardless of oil price movements or direction of the market, XEG only goes down. I am currently down 15% on XEG and wondering if there is any hope for oil sector in Canada? Would you keep this ETF/sector for 1-3 years timeframe, or get rid of oil sector entirely and relocate money to some other sectors?
Q: Hi Folks,
May I have your opinion on AMAZON. Would it be a buy today. It has been on a pretty good run. I would like to add to my current holdings to bring me up to a full (4%) weighing.
Thanks

Q: Hello, I need to reduce my financials and beef up my industrials and materials. I own TD, RY and SLF, and will trim reluctantly as they have all done well for me over the years. I already have TFII, ATS, and NTR. What would you suggest for Industrials and materials. Add to existing or add new companies? As a retired sort, I prefer Canadian stocks eligible for the Dividend Tax Credit but iI am underweight the US so f you have much better US suggestions please advise.
Many thanks

Q: Peter and His Wonder Team
Here is an unusual question that I think I know the answer but looking for validation. I bought the largest Russian utility company before Putin invaded the Ukraine. Shortly after, the stock...I guess all Russian stocks...was delisted from the NYSE. I conclude it is a total loss...am I right? However I was wondering if it might ever be reinstated...for example in 5 years from now. If so would I still have claim to my stocks? Please tell me if all this thinking is impossible and this is just a tax loss conclusion. Your opinion please! Thank you!

Q: Hello 5i,
I'm looking to consolidate my adtech holdings. I currently own The Trade Desk, Perion and Magnite. My main goal is to maximize growth over the next couple of years and I'm concerned about Magnite's slowing/declining future revenue growth.
My possible options are:
1) Sell all MGNI, buy more TTD
2) Sell all MGNI, buy more PERI
3) Sell all MGNI, allocate 50% of proceeds to TTD and 50% to PERI
3) Sell all MGNI and PERI, buy more TTD
4) Do nothing
Which option do you suggest? My current allocation to all three is approximately equal.
Thanks!

Q: In the US Democrats have introduced legislation in both Congress and the Senate that would ban hedge funds, corporations, partnerships and REITs from buying and owning single family homes in the US. Does this pose a material threat to Tricon Residential? If this law were to not apply to Tricon, perhaps it is an opportunity for them as those on the wrong side of this law, would have to sell them within 10 years. Interested in your comments.
Q: Reading recent comments on Birchcliff Energy 5i didn’t think a dividend cut was imminent and you felt they would issue debt to fund the dividend if need be. Just curious as to the rationale for this opinion. Also, do you feel Bir is good buy at these reduced levels? Finally, In light of today’s dividend cut and significant drop is this company now a prime candidate for a takeover and if so then why?
Q: HUT corrected quite a bit over the last few days, especially yesterday. Is there a specific reason for the decline? Is this a good company to play bitcoin if one thinks it will rise over the next year?
Q: I expected an announcement from Flutter today about our PDYPF shares. Is there going to be a "forced sale" of our shares on Jan. 29 or will they be converted to the NYSE listed shares. What do we need to do if we want to retain the shares? If there is a forced sale, who pays the commissions? In short, what's happening that shareholders need to know?
Q: I think questions about SCORE (SCR) are dragging Strathcona Resources (SCR) into the discussion. While owning an oil company might be a form of gambling I believe this is in error.
I would be interested in your opinion of the Oil Company, SCR - Strathcona Resources.
