Q: I have a question about Enbridge Inc. Yesterday The Oxford Club ( a US newsletter) issued a very poor safety rating on the ENB dividend. They claim ENB lacks the cash flow to support the dividend. Yet, you, and many Canadian analysts are bullish on ENB.
Q: A question related to portfolio weightings. I used to only have individual stock names and a fairly equal balance across various sectors. I just purchased an market ETF the other day (VUN) to get additional exposure and classified it as "other", but it didn't feel right when I noticed that the weighting of my other sectors went down.
As an example, if I had x% in a particular sector, but made a large contribution due to new cash into a market ETF, the original x% in that sector would now show up lower in my own calculations. How do you account for this? I don't want to be overleveraged in a particular sector by mistake.
Q: Could you please provide your updated opinion on Trillium Therapeutics? It is an early stage company in the very important area of new Cancer drugs, and looks like they are getting good early results. Is it way too early to invest in a company like this, or is it something that could qualify as part of a growth portfolio?
Q: In response to a previous question re TZZ you mentioned that the company was going to be wound up. I am confused - does that apply to TZZ or to TZ5 only? TZZ seems to be doing quite well. The Trez family is quite confusing, with TZS as well. Could you please clear this up?
Q: re: David's question this morning. I understood his question to mean not only what % weighting in PUR would be appropriate, but also what % of smallcaps overall would you recommend holding?
Q: Shareholders appear to have reacted negatively to the recently announced acquisition. Is this reaction justified, given that management has said the acquisition will be immediately accretive to reit's funds from operations and AFFO?
Q: I am considering buying either mfr.un or hhl.un, mainly for their 8% dividend for a 1 year hold. Would either be affected by a nominal rate increase? Mfr.un could be more stable and might benefit from an interest rate hike, protecting capital whereas hhl.un might be affected byU.S. politics. Could you please give your assessment?
Q: I'm interested in PUR as an investment & would appreciate your comments on its future.I realize they had a strong last quarter.Currently I have 5% holdings of both SIS & DBO & they are doing well for me.If you like it, what %age of PUR should I buy or am I getting too much money in small caps. What %age of small caps would you recommend ? Thanks as always.

Q: Hi, my question is on Mega Uranium, MGA. There has been a lot of insider buying recently. Aside from any merits that Mega may have with its own exploration potential, they also appear to have a sizable share holding in Nexgen Energy which is emerging as the premier stock to own in the Athabasca Basin based on the long vertical interval and the fact that it is not under a lake which provides good access. It looks like this share holding alone is more than the market cap of the whole company. Would this be a good way to invest in Nexgen, while at the same time reap any potential at Mega, which also has cash holdings? In brief, this looks like an opportunity since the market isn't seeming to value their investment in Nexgen? Could you also please add these two companies to your database?
Q: Can I have your thoughts on Frontline. It is on an upswing lately and shows a 15% dividend which is usually a red flag. In looking at the stock could you justify a "BUY"?
Q: Bristolgate Capital Partners is opening up a Canadian Equity Fund to the public this year. What do you know of this company, its team, performance , fees, and would you think investing a large amount of capital with them?
Q: I am still researching the US for additional opportunities & would like your advise on the 5 companies as listed. I am aware of certain similarities between SAP & KXS with respect to their Cloud collectivity modules & firmly believe this will become the wave of the future for thousands of large & diversified corporations in the foreseeable future. Recognizing however your sometime reluctance to comment on US entities, I would nevertheless appreciate your comments & guidance. Thank you.
