Q: Hi Peter/team, My question is about my Real Estate allocation, within my overall portfolio. I recently moved CSH.UN to my Real Estate sector from my Health sector which bumped my Real Estate holdings to 24.5% (good). I have heard some pundits say that you should also include your personal home as part of your Real Estate holdings? If I were to do this my Real Estate holdings would then jump to ~65% of my overall portfolio. Obviously, I would then need to trim some of my reits back down to roughly 25%. I'm wondering what the general consensus is and I would appreciate your thoughts. Bill
Q: Peter; I own both and so watch them closely. It seems that they are basically trading in lock step re volume and price appreciation.Are there any interlocking directors and/or management connections that you know of. Would a combined entity be a possibility? Thanks. Rod
My questions is about xlre and SRET and the degree of risk associated with these 2 stocks. I currently have xlre and was thinking taking 20% of my position and investing in SRET - 1. for the higher dividend and 2. for the international exposure. Both would be held in a 401K and i only pay 2.95 a trade so taxes and trading fees aren't really a consideration.

Q: My Technicals tell me this is in a very bullish pattern. BUT my senses tell me when looking at the charts it is overbought, is hitting 5 year highs and has certainly broken the 5 year pattern channel between 18 and 21.
Bit confused if this chart looks like a buy to you at this point?

I'v heard that there are Reits that pay dividends from renting commercial real estate, while the principal remains intact.
Is that right and what Reits would you recommend me, and will these dividends greatly affect my GIS pension?
