Q: Hi 5i,
If book value of ECN is $4.41 per share, why would it be trading in the $3.15-$3.20 per share range right now?
Does the current share price increase the risk or change anything for the INFOR Acquistion Corp merger to close?
Thanks, Shane

Q: Hello Peter and Team,
Do to the split, I have a tiny (practically negligible) position in ECN. Is this a company that you would be willing to top up to a half position, or should I release it now? If you are willing to top it up, would you prefer ECN or EFN and why?
Thanks,
Wes

Q: Would the stocks in the income portfolio be those you would recommend for retirees?
Q: Which would be a better buy? Loblaw or PBH?
Q: Looking back at previous questions about TOY, it's mentioned that it is attractive at 21x or 19x P/E ratio. My TD Waterhouse web broker research platform states that it's currently operating at a 46.7x P/E ratio.
a) 46.7x would be bad, right? And cannot be true?
b) What's the current P/E ratio and how can I reliably find it independently?
Thanks

Q: I have not yet exchanged my Intertain shares but if so I would take the exchangeable shares as you have recommended. However I am considering the following option: sell my Intertain shares on the open market this week and buy the Exchangeable shares (probably) when they become available. Could you please comment on this strategy the advantages and disadvantages. Thanks.
Q: I am going to start building the growth portfolio over the next couple of months, please identify ~5 stocks that might not hold their current valuation or that I should take a little longer to watch before purchasing.
Q: I cannot find the deadline date to elect to choose the "exchangeable shares" option. Questrade requires it. From the Intertain documentation, it seems it's up in the air? Thanks.
Q: I would like to top up some holdings in Balanced Equity. What are your top 5 stocks to buy right now from the BE portfolio?
Q: At this point in time, what would you say is an opportunity to buy 3 stocks in each of the income and also balanced portfolios? Thanks for your suggestions.....Tom

Q: I have to reduce my C. Disc. sector; which one of the above would you let go? Great service! Thanks, Stephen
Q: ET seems to be in a downhill slide since June, now down aprox. 15%. The 5 year chart shows a trading channel with higher lows and higher highs. Is there a fundamental reason for this stock to sell-off on such a regular basis? Is now a good time to top-up a position? Thanks Ron
Q: Thoughts on the recent pull back in gold and gold shares? A good entry point for Agnico Eagle or still more downside possible?
Thanks,
Jason

Q: Morning, I have held HCG for years, and XTC for about a year, have been waiting for a turn to positive on both. Is either expected to improve or are there better names in these areas? Thanks, Lavern
Q: Hi 5i team,
Now that shareholders have approved the plan with Loblaws what happens next. The current price is $3.09 with little volume. Documentation I received mentions that shareholders would receive money for the shares next year at 3.10 per share. From a tax perspective it would be better to receive the money this year. Does one typically sell at market 3.09 in this situation or wait tying up the money which could be reallocated.
Thanks Mike

Q: I owned some Element Financial in my TFSA and it just went through the company split, one of the companies to emerge is ECN which I will get a few shares of automatically. I was thinking of purchasing more of them and was wondering what your thought were on this new entity.
Q: What sector would TOY fall into? If you already owned Cineplex would you recommend TOY as I am trying to buy one stock from each sector for my daughter TFSA?
Thanks

Q: I was trying to compare Premium Brand "PBH") with Highliner Foods ("HLF"), sorry I got my symbols mixed up.
