Investment Q&A
Not investment advice or solicitation to buy/sell securities. Do your own due diligence and/or consult an advisor.
Q: You have commented on NCU sporadically, is this a viable company with potential long term upside(assuming copper steady or continues bull run)? When will it see positive cash flow. How do you compare it to Amerigo. Would you be buyers of one or both. High risk/High reward.
Q: Would this be a a suitable speculative stock (small position) in TFSA with the growth of copper, or not?
Q: Trying to figure out the dynamics of this stock as considering buying for my TFSA as an admittedly risky ( speculative ) venture.
It has a high institutional holding and would they not see share dilution as the worst of possibilities to raise capital ? A takeover ( at a reasonable) would seem to be a better alternative for them. Do you know how much the individual directors own ? Their Board does seem experienced and while they did let costs get ahead of them, they did take decisive action by firing the President and founder of the company. What is your assessment of them getting the Magino mine up and running at expected costs ? I am considering buying , so ask you do I wait until we know the financing or take a chance with a 3 - 6 % position buying now or gradually ? Thanks Derek

Q: Could you give a general overview of GRAT. I am thinking about starting a position. Thanks
Q: I suspect these companies will be important as technology advances and we need those raw materials. Thoughts on that? Also the yields seem very high are they covered by cash flow or are the higher yields a reflection of the low share price?
Q: Can you please comment on the recent price action on the two copper stocks above? Is the 18%+ jump in FM over the past 5 days strictly due to the price of copper or is there another catalyst? Also would appreciate your thoughts on both stocks going forward.
Thanks
Reg

Q: Can I get an update on Talon please. I sense some movement.
Q: Hello Peter,
Thank you for recommending Tamarack(TVE). 10% in the last few days, I will take that.
My question is on Lundin for copper/base metals. I saw your recommended that a couple of days ago and today it had a nice pop of 10%. Is the easy money already made or it will still be your preferred choice? Or would you suggest another name? Does not necessarily have to be on tsx,
Regards
Rajiv

Q: Hi team and all the best in 2022.
Ar is still 42% held by institutions, av.price target by analysts is at $3.45,the Magino project funding shortfall is perhaps 300million.I realize that there could be a stock issue to fund the shortfall,BUT with the Magino project with it's proven reserves and low cost of 600$ an ounce to exploit,do you see this company being undervalued and the selling exaggerated due to the uncertainties? A wise purchase for the long term at this price?
Many thanks,
Jean
