Q: I was thinking about buying some of this company but with such a diaster of a first quarter I am having second thoughts. Or should I be contrarian and think that everything that could go wrong went wrong (lower grade combined with lower production because of machinery problem, which is now fixed). Or should I just buy some more ARG Amerigo and get the juicy diviidend? I am long term bullish on copper (re: electrifiaction of the world) but I tend to trade my base metal holders due to excessive volitiliity.
Q: Copper Mountain is taking a hit today due to disappointing earnings, however it seems the loss was due in large part to reduced production attributable to a damaged crusher. Their future forecast looks fairly promising. What do you think?

Doesn't a rising US dollar actually HELP Canadian producers as they receive more for their products? And would that rise not be counteracted in any case by an anticipated further rise in Canadian rates - which would likely raise the CAN$? Is Mr. Market just reacting in a knee-jerk fashion here?
