Q: Few of my international holdings pay dividends and in trying to correct that, I thought of adding SDIV as a new holding. I have the following questions or concern:
1. Many companies held in the ETF are on not that large (for the type of internatinal business a Canadian might want to risk); and
2. SDIV also underweights quality and momentum.

Notwithstanding the above concerns, would you say the ETF is worth adding as part of one's holdings outside North America? Please comment on SDIV, but if you have other ETFs you prefer, kindly advise). Thanks

Q: Hello,
Do you have any info on this company? It is involved in supplying lithium ion batteries to the EV market. Jeff Dahn is the principal architect from Dalhousie University. He also has a renewable contract with Tesla. It trades on the Aussie market along OTC in the USA.
Thanks
Rick

Q: Noticed an interesting pop in solar stocks today. Any particular reason for this? Also, I’ve noticed that they have traded sideways for several months now. Would you rather trade or invest in this sector?

Q: Portfolio analytics --> I need international exposure.

I'm 44yo with a high risk tolerance and 2 kids, 4 yrs and 7 yrs away from entering post-secondary.

Could you make some recommendations to plug this hole in my portfolio? Individual stocks and an ETF mix would be ideal.

Thank you,
Ian.

Q: Dear 5i,
I identified these three stocks which seem to be traded OTC Pink.
What does this mean and should I avoid trading OTC Pink?
Trading volume is typically 30K to 176K daily.
These stocks are high-end luxury goods.
The tickers are: LVMUY, Louis Vuitton SE, HESAY, Hermes SCA, PPRUY, Kering SA.
Can you please add them to your database.

thanks

Q: hello 5i:
I'm looking for a consumer stock, the portfolio being weak in that area. I've gone over past questions on the 2 noted stocks. I find BABA very intriguing from a risk/reward perspective. Morningstar has both undervalued, BABA moreso and a 5 year chart favours BABA as its hitting the bottom of its trendline. I'd appreciate your take on it, knowing that Chinese stocks are not your focus. There are a huge number of analysts following both stocks, so I'm indirectly asking you to decipher their opinions for me. For the sake of this excercise, lets assume a "medium" risk investor (whatever that is).

Q: Could you provide any up- dated assessment you may have re. Novo Nordisk in light of FDA approval of their obesity drug Wegovy. The monthly cost of a regimen of the drug is apparently $800.00 ( without insurance ) . But with 100 million obese Americans and obesity increasing risk factors for many other diseases, might it be a reasonable speculation that insurers may cover the drug at some point. Any sense of how much of this potential might be already factored in and how much might be a potential game changer if it plays out successfully over time?
Thank-you
