Q: Which of HUT, HIVE or GLXY would you recommend for a small speculative position? Or would you suggest a combination of HUT or HIVE plus GLXY assuming no material difference between the two bitcoin miners? Alternatively, is there a crypto ETF that you would suggest instead? Thanks.

Q: Hello Peter,
With recent announcements of US companies launching Bitcoin ETFs, there is a concern that Canadian Companies may experience outflows. If so, i would think if one was invested in a bitcoin eft such as the one from purpose or evolve, the stock price (representing etf of bitcoin) would still go up if bitcoin went up? Hence, i don't see concern from putting monies in the canadian ETFs. Any comments please? Also, what is your opinion on whether the etfs are hedged? Does it mean the hedging works both ways whether the canadian dollar goes up or down? I was expecting Nuvei to do much better after the US listing but the stock has not moved. Are you still comfortable with new monies in Nuvei? Lastly, i was thinking of increasing my position to 3 percent for ATS automation. From your responses, you seem to like the stock. Thanks very much.

Q: I am with TD and wanted to further explore crypto currencies.

I am looking at Bitcoin, Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH), Stellar (CRYPTO:XLM) and Cardano (CRYPTO:ADA.

I am not sure, but I could buy Bitcoin with BTCC.B?
Ethereum with ETHH.B?
And I would have to buy Stellar and Cardano with Coinbase, or does TD or Weatlhsimple do this?
Or is there an ETF for Stellar and Cardano or is there an ETF for a group of newer coins?
Really confused Boomer.

Q: Hi folks. El Salvador has accepted Bitcoin I believe and even given their citizens some of the currency. Why have they taken this stance? A safeguard against the inflation in their fiat currency? Do you think other countries will follow suite?
Has this changed anything with the outlook on Bitcoin?
Thank you and good day.

Q: I would appreciate your opinion on the Bit Coin craze. I feel that it is important to be involved in but as a retail investor safety is very important and I am considering BTCC for my investment. So far this company has proven very reliable as I have other investments with them. So, is this a good start into Bit or can you provide better alternatives. Thanks James

Q: Cryptocurrency: what is the best way to buy cryptocurremcies for a personal account. I bank with TD and they suggest going through the TD Platform then through BitBuy Canada since they trust the process and security of BitBuy Canada. I would like to pursue the purchase of Ethereum due to its price. Is it a digital currency that you would purchase or have purchased. Or due you suggest another.
Thanks for advice,

Clayton

Q: 5 i's recommended vehicle for those interested in the bit coin investment opportunity appears to be BTCC.
GLXY , that appears to have been on the same scene since Oct 2018 has seen little price movement until recently but has now broken out to the upside.
How are these two investments different?
How do they compare as far as risk?
Is it too late to add to a position in GLXY or best to just allow BTTC the same opportunity to develop?
Your wise counsel has paid off handsomely in the past and is much appreciated!!!

Q: Hello 5i,

We purchased QBTC when it was available, then purchased BTCC.B when it was recommended by 5i, and it looks like BTCC is now recommended. Can you clarify which Bitcoin stock is preferred - BTCC or BTCC.B or another Bitcoin stock?

Would it make any sense to own 1/2 of the ETF stocks in BTCC and 1/2 in BTCC.B if you have a 4% position?

Thank you for your fantastic service.

Cheers,

Debbie and Jerry

Q: Are there any bitcoin ETFs eligible for purchase in a Canadian RSP? If so, please provide ticker symbols of applicable ETFs available to a Canadian investor, and which one(s) you might recommend to someone who desires a small bitcoin exposure (1% portfolio weighting). (Both US$ and CA$ RSP accounts are available.)
