Q: Being retired we look to invest in long term stable companies with a reliable growing dividend. We own a few hundred shares of CU. The share price is lower than it has been for a very long time! Q: Can you comment on this company - Q2 earnings were .22 per share versus .63 in Q1.Lots can happen to impact earnings but i can find nothing on my stock services to explain the drop in earnings. I wouldn't have thought that there is seasonality to snack foods but... Is it worth adding to my tax loss selling candidates?

Q: I need to know how much the 5 big Canadian Bank stocks have increased their dividends over the past 18 years; by % increase, not actual dollar amount. Someone told me 7% a year but that sounds too high. Any idea where I can find this information? Thanks.

AS BNS continues to fall I see that the forward P/E based upon the consensus shown on the RBC Direct site is 9.5. Seems like good value considering the 4.7% yield. Your thoughts? Also wondering if you can determine what the P/E was at the lowest point during the 2008 financial crisis.
