Q: Hi,
This is a three part question, so take as many credits as you need. I know that when MRVL bought IPHI the deal was 66.00 cash per IPHI share + 2.323 shares of MRVL stock per IPHI stock held - at the time, estimates valued IPHI at around 157.00 per share - is that correct? If yes, then since the announced buyout, shares in both companies have risen. How does this affect the value of the buyout? It appears that due to the increase in share value, the math has improved somewhat - or was the buyout based on a fixed value of either IPHI or MRVL shares at the time of the takeover? The 2nd part of this question is this - if you feel it is best to hold IPHI until the deal is closed, would you continue to hold MRVL shares, buy more or sell them once the takeover is completed? The 3rd part is would you just sell IPHI now, considering they are starting to drop? As always, thanks for your input - much appreciated!

Q: Hi,
Marvell announced today they will take over IPHI. As I hold IPHI, I would welcome you're thoughts on what you feel is the best course of action now. If you were holding this stock, would you continue to do so, or try to cash in on the jump that one might expect after such an announcement? Thanks for all your great advice!

Q: Hi 5i team,
There seems to be a lot of M&A activity brewing these days, especially in U.S. tech. AMD is in the process of acquiring XLNX and this morning there are reports that MRVL is close to buying IPHI. What are some other potential candidates that likely won’t be around this time next year as they will be acquired. I know you mention DOCU regularly but what are some other likely names?
Thanks again.

Q: Hi,
This is a follow up question to your response to Bob's question on NVDA, AMD. Having only recently purchased AMD, I am somewhat concerned about a lengthy wait for AMD's price to resume an uptrend with the burden of XLNX. At the moment I am down 1/2% and wondering if it is prudent to exit and put the money to work in another growth opportunity? I currently own NVDA and could simply add to it. Other options might be TSM, MPWR, or IPHI. I would welcome your thoughts and any suggestions you may have. Thanks for keeping us informed!

Q: Hi,
I would be interested in your comments on this company. It seems to be growing well, with a recent announcement of a big increase in earnings. However I am somewhat concerned about the fact that Huawei is on their stated list of customers. Will the recent threat from Trump to limit sales to Huawei have a large negative effect on Inphi? As a small cap, do they have a lot of debt? I found a Debt/Equity figure of 1.37 on Finviz.com, but am not sure how to interpret that, given that they currently show a negative income. Many thanks for all you do to keep us on the right track!
