Q: So what is the debt of this company and how large is short position and what is the main reason that it is being shorted, earnings are fine, paying down debt, not over priced, but overall these shorts have everybody convinced that this is not a stock to own, so should a person wait till the next earnings period to buy this stock. Thanks.

Q: I'm thinking of investing in China to capture the middle class growth there....Baidu reminds me of an Amazon in the early stages?? Or Alibaba; which would you place in your personal portfolio for China exposure or would you suggest something totally different?? Thanks so Much!
Q: Would you endorse buying SH (Shopify) as a growth stock, for about a 2 year holding period, strictly for capital gain in a non-registered account? Also can you suggest any other high growth solid companies?
Q: How is it best to determine the valuation for First Service? I am guessing price/cash flow because looking at the P/E, it appears to be extremely expensive. What would be a reasonable P/CF range for this company? What would be a reasonable P/CF range for this sector?

Q: Hi 5I team, I have learned a lot via your educational investment ideas. For stocks trading at low volume, how many and when to buy and sell? How do institutional funds trade or they just avoid if average volume is less than certain number? This low volume may associate with small market capital. Thanks again.
Q: Hi 5I team, DCM was mentioned as a BNN session top pick recently. Your opinion of DCM and IGX are much appreciated. Thanks.
Q: JAG reported what looks like good results this month. Momentum also looks good.
I know its small and would be high risk but I also think there may be an oportunity here.
Would appreciate your thoughts on the company and management.
Thanks
John

Q: I am considering shorting Oil. What are the ones to play in Canada and the USA ? Straight shorts and 2 times and three times short leverage
Q: Hi Team,
I know the expectations on ceapro are probably VERY HIGH and the recent attention on it is probably pricing it for perfection. On the other hand, it is debt free, adding a new facility, has rising sales and has a patented technology. Could the current price be justified?
Great job as usual guys!!

Q: Should we expect that AAR.UN and REITs in general will take a hit when US Fed increases interest rates. Thanks Joe.
Q: You often refer to a stock as expensive or as cheap or inexpensive. Can you explain what you mean by that. For example are KXS and SIS cheap or expensive? What about BOS at its current price?
Q: Would you guys ever consider some model ETF portfolios - If not where is the best place to find such a model or tools to develop them
Q: Hi Guys,

Q: Hi guys,
What are your thoughts on Rifco? I am down 50%, should I continue to hold or is it best to move on and if so, what companies would you suggest at this time, assuming a well balanced portfolio.

Q: I have an RRSP holding of WEF (1/2 position) that sits about where I purchased at 2.00 a long time back. It seems to trade in a range up to 2.35 and down under $2.00. This has been tolerable given the dividend but I would like your advice on where you see it going in the next 6 months given the seasonal cycles and the general environment for lumber producers. Also, do you see a reason to hold or do you have a better alternative to recommend?
Q: I currently own these royalty stock in my portfolio, would it make sense to exchange them for AW.un. AD has been hit hard and I do not see it to recover in the near future. I would appreciate your advise, perhaps other choices you can suggest. I like to have dividend. J.A.P. Burlington

iShares S&P/TSX Canadian Preferred Share Index ETF (CPD)
-
BMO Equal Weight REITs Index ETF (ZRE)
-
iShares U.S. High Yield Bond Index ETF (CAD-Hedged) (XHY)
Q: Saw your suggestion for CPD, XHY, ZRE for dividend income and wondered what would drive each of these securities price performance given that their overall return will be a mixture of price appreciation/depreciation as well as yield and each has a significantly different price history. I'm not planning to blend as I think you should know what drives each investment. I also saw your two notes on CPD so what I think I need is an overview of the relevant price drivers please. Thank you
Q: Peter and Ryan,
Do you have any concerns with Enbridge? My advisor called today saying he heard that they are not putting as much oil though their pipelines these days. He also mentioned that there might be a dividend cut with their high debt. I have owned the shares for about 5 years and have a nice gain on the price, but being older I like being able to collect the dividend for a long time yet. Enbridge is a 6% weighting in my portfolio at the moment.
Thank you,
Charlie
