Q: I’m looking to invest in SbET or BMNR. Any preference between the two? Are you able to compare the premium of market cap to ethereum owned to that old MSTR which hacks been around longer but obviously bitcoin focused

Q: Hello,
I know you have answered many questions on this subject but can i get more clarity please? First, are you able to add the symbol BMNR to your list. I chose SBET as you have that in your list. When i look at price of bitcoin for last 5 years, it has gone up alot. However, MicroStrategy's return over the same period is much higher (it holds bitcoin). How could the difference be so diverse. I am wondering if i should go with sbet and bmnr (equal amounts) as opposed to Ethereum etfs.. Please comment and if you feel the etf route is best , what are the elf's you suggest in cdn $ for bitcoin and Ethereum?

Q: What are the risks to investing in this company's 9% newly issued preferred share dividend Mr Saylor seems to explain is backed by his company's bitcoin holdings. He claims there is $5 of bitcoin value in backing of the dividend for every dollar invested. He's rather slick and bright but reminds one of a snake oil salesman of the past. Is this anywhere close to a sleep at night 9% dividend holding? Thank you.

Q: Good afternoon 5i team!

I watched an interview with Tom Lee from Fundstrat Capital regarding how he's been named chairman at BNMR. The company is discribed as the Microstrategy (MSTR) of Etherium. Can you offer your thoughts on the company. I've listened to Lee's commentary for the last few years and he's generally been spot on with respect to S&P performance, tech stock performance, and at the moment, seems fairly accurate with his Bitcoin/crypto call. It has had a wild ride over the past couple of weeks, but if it is, in fact another MSTR, then it might be worth dipping a toe in here.....albeit, a very small toe.(lol)

Q: Good Morning,

Yesterday you responded to Mark on SBET. This stock has been nothing short or a rocket ship.

It is up 70% in the past week, 120% in the past month and 950% in the past 3 months.

I'm not quite sure how to ask the question, but how/when/why/ would you buy given the very recent performance mentioned above?

Sheldon

Q: I have a low cost base on MSTR and it has become wildly outsized as a position in my portfolio. I want to maintain significant exposure to BTC and crypto more generally but diversify this exposure to maintain my exposure levels while reducing the company specific risks that I currently have. To keep this outside of being direct investing advice, if you were to start a small crypto portfolio using $10,000 and wanted MSTR to be a part of it, what else would you buy and in what position size to enjoy diversified crypto exposure? Note, it doesn't have to be all directly tied to BTC if you think ETH or SOL deserve attention.

Thanks!

Q: I'd like some information on the ETF MSTE ....... Looking on the Harvest website they offer the following explanation of what the ETF is .......

" The Harvest MicroStrategy Enhanced High Income Shares ETF invests all its assets, directly or indirectly, in Class A shares of MicroStrategy. MicroStrategy provides business intelligence, mobile software, and cloud-based services. The company’s securities have developed into a Bitcoin treasury holding company, due to its substantial holdings in the world’s premier digital currency."

I take it from the last sentence that it has evolved into a " proxy for Bitcoin " . Is that correct ? And from it's historical high to it's current trading level it has fallen 9.9% . Is that correct ? And looking at it's history of dividend payments { it has paid four dividends . Two of .66 and two of .60 } I come up with a 40% dividend { based on the lessor of the two dividend rates } ..... Is that correct ?

Personally I am from the Jamie Dimon school of crypto-currency ..... The stuff has no value whatever. But I can't deny the steady growth since someone came up with the idea of " Let's make a currency for criminals the government hasn't regulated " ......

So what am I buying here ? A less volatile method of investing in Bitcoin with a honking big dividend ? Or if one is so interested, is Bitcoin itself the better choice ? .....

Thanks for your terrific service ......

Q: Reliable dividend hunting
I currently hold a variety of solid dividend payers like ENB, PPL, some banks, MSTY - and a few more. With MSTY I have taken on extra risk and counting on the current high monthly dividend to justify that risk.

I am looking to add substantially to these and specifically NLY, JPMO (which shows a yield of 30% on RBC DI, and JPM.PR.O (6%).

Your assessment of the these candidates in light of my objectives to increase dividend income and reduce the growth portions of my portfolios.

Thanks

Q: For a small amount of risk money, what is your top recommendation for the next 12 months? What stock or ETF sub-sector do you see with the greatest upside potential?

Thanks for this excellent service.

Q: I'm looking to add some bitcoin exposure to my portfolio. What is the best way to do this? I know of MSTR and FBTC but I saw in a previous question that you prefer the bitcoin etf or whatnot to be in usd. Can you recommend some stocks or ETF that would give this exposure without having to purchase it directly?

Q: Hi I know MSTR has had an extremely bumpy ride. What do you think of their recently issued preferred shares? Is there enough information to estimate what the actual dividend and % at today’s prices will be. RBC DI shows 132%. Also would you consider the yield to be “reasonably” safe? Thank you.

Q: Thoughts on earnings and the announcement saying they've updated their investment policy to add bitcoin as a treasury reserve asset?

GameStop also redesigned their investor relations website which is now strikingly similar to Berkshire Hathaway's website. Do you think this is indicative of GameStop pivoting to being a holding company similar to Berkshire? They have a lot of cash.

Q: Good morning 5i,

I'm expecting some turbulence coming for sure. I doubt all is priced in with the tariff battle. Of course nobody knows. But opportunity may be knocking.

I refreshed myself on Peter's cover call write up from years past. I'd love a new take on selling covered calls to enhance your income and some strategies relating to it. ie, OTM, time frame etc.

And some top stocks in your view for writing on. Excluding NVDA, already sell OTC cc on my position.

Thank you very much.

Q: I've seen these high yielding products before and just noticed that a few are now available on the TSX. I'm curious as to what your thoughts are on this type of product and how they work. I noticed the yields are pretty extreme and particularly on MSTY. I'm assuming this is maybe due to the high option premiums and volatility on the underlying MSTR?
Is there any rationale to a short term hold in this type of thing if you believe there's at least short term upside in the underlying?
(I considered buying MSTR last year but put it off. I think it maybe has a few months to a year of upside still if the Bitcoin cycle continues. Being able to buy in MSTY in $C is a plus and avoids exchange rate fees if buying and selling within a few months/year).

Thanks!

Q: I have the above tech stocks sitting at just over 30% weighting in portfolio. Could you please rank them as to which you might sell first. I sadly sold Crowdstrike last summer when they had their issues and I am thinking I need a cybersecurity stock. Would you buy Crowdstrike or Palo Alto or half of both. Also, What do you think about Saleforce? With the thought of cheaper AI, is that one that would possibly benefit and how where would it rank within my aboce tech stocks? Thanks for all your help. With all your advice, last year was awesome and still up this year following yesterday’s falloff.
