Q: Would you consider this gold etf (or some gold stocks) a buy now given the low prices?

Q: I have zero allocation to minerals, mining and material stocks in my portfolio. Do you feel that some exposure is warranted for diversification purposes?

If so, what one or two companies would you suggest to achieve broad exposure while minimizing downside risk. I prefer larger companies that pay a dividend.

Q: Knight just bought about 4M shares of TherapeuticsMD @ $5.10. Oppenheimer just raised their target (I know!) to $14 and another to $15 which would provide Knight with a $36-$40M profit.
Would you buy TXMD and do you think Knight will get Canadian/Israeli rights to their recently-approved 12 month birth control product?

Q: Can you please comment on earnings and subsequent investor reaction (reduction in share price)?
Can you also please comment on recent rumours of Amazon looking to acquire a cinema / theater company? It seems that this should be a potential catalyst for the stock as this is a logical move for other streaming services (Netflix, Apple, etc.) who are investing significant amounts on original content but currently have limited options to distribute to large screen formats (cinema, etc.).

Q: Hello I was wondering what you thought of HLF earnings.? The stock is down so much this year but it has been here before and came back. Can you comment on Constellation investment of 5 Billion CAN$ into Canopy Growth? How you see this playing out in lead up to Oct. 17th. legalization? How do you see this playing out to late 2019 when I would consider selling? Constellation is a Major US backer who obviously believes in the future market - Canadian, US & International - both medical & recreational. You have supported WEED as a speculative best pick. Is it now rising on that scale and if not, why ? Please direct question to 5i person most knowledgeable on this space. Thanks.

Q: I hold the above and they all had favorable comments from 5i on growth at one point. Is growth still intact? Do you see anything that's changed in the companies or the environment that would affect any of these? They are inside an RSP for long term growth. TIA!

Q: Another Stars question. The weakness in the stock is attributable to UK competition review - CMA has 40 days to issue preliminary findings. Stock has now lost 30%; those of us who follow 5i recommendation are down 25%. What are thoughts from here? Does Uk green light the merger - require divestiture or - kill the deal? Management has authored its own demise with poor guidance statement - why do this? Is this an attempt have the company taken out? What do you recommend we do with this holding? Next support stop looks to be $29 ish after that is free fall to $20.

Q: Interesting article in Globe re Softbank. I am looking for some international growth prospects (especially outside of US). I hold Alibaba (which Softbank invested in recently according to article) and Tencent, the competition to Alibaba.
Would you add Softbank at this juncture given its current price?
Hold or sell Tencent?
Hold or sell Alibaba?
