Q: About a year ago I inherited 10,000 shares of something called Gran Columbia Gold Corp. (GCM) I never hear anything much about it and although I know it's no gem, wondered if it might be worth keeping should gold rally again? Q: In the past I have followed and at times purchased Eldorado and done ok by it, not the first time though.

Q: When does tax loss selling start and end this year? Also what are the stocks that are most likely to be hit? The other part to my question is which, if any, of the tax loss selloffs would be worthy of acquiring?

Q: Hi Gang, could you give me your latest take on the above. Their acquisition closes this month and they will announce US70 million in refinancing to pay down debt. The analysts give it a target price of 7$ over the next 12 months. I have had this for over a year and it has not been the smoothest ride but I'm up none the less.

Q: PEG(PEGI:US) pays 7%,which "100% of distribution is characterized as non-taxable Return of Capital" which account is best to hold RRSP, TFSC or regular taxable account. Maybe you can explain why hold it at all , if I am only getting my own money back?

Q: Having an Income portfolio including the above companies, I'm unsure of the effects of a potential increase in US rates in say December 2016 when at the same time the Bank of Canada holds rates or even maintains dovish tone signally near term rate cut. Will holding Canadian interest rates steady offset what would otherwise be negative pressure of a US rate increase on Canadian dividend paying stocks? Thanks

Q: Looking for your recommendation on leveraging 1 or 2 oil plays for 6 mos. to 1yr. My choices at present are SGY, BTE, CJ & BIR.
However, as this is not for long term, you may have other choices based on current debt & overall financial condition.

Q: BBD.PR.B It seems to me that Bombardier cannot go broke - government support etc. Would this not mean that the preferred shares of BBD.PR.B ( cum redeemable ) are relatively safe? And if so why is the dividend so high (8.21%) ?

Q: I feel like the oil sector is turning the corner and want look at some oilfield service companies. Which do you feel is a "safe" way to play this, looking for a "good" balance sheet and someone that isn't going to just issue equity as soon as their stock price runs up a bit.
