Q: I am looking for other canadian residential reits to buy with my funds from selling TCN. I think with interest rates topping out and very possibly declining later this year, reits are a very good, safe place to invest. Can you suggest any other canadian residential reits that have good upside from here and give a decent dividend? I am thinking of ERE as well as HOM. Any comments?

Q: REITs are getting pummeled today with some like BEI.UN, DIR.UN and HOM.UN down more that 6%. Any thoughts on why such a big downturn.

Q: These symbols are confusing.
They are both showing as having the same US$ div'd.
Same name and both say :CA on you web site,
They appear to be the same but .U trades in US$ on the TSX.
The .UN one is aa newer list and trades in Cdn $.
Any advantage to one over the other?
Cdn $ one seems to do less volume.
I always get gypped on conversion when I trade US$ in a Canadian $ account. Even the trading fee is in US$.
Would appreciate your expert opinion.

Q: Can you please give me your opinion on how you would rank these three companies and include some comments
on which you feel are at the best discount to NAV and would likely have better growth over the next 3 to 5 years along with any other pertinent information you feel is relevant.

Thank you!

Q: I am considering a $US pay reit, and am looking at these two. Could you provide the payout ratio/dividend sustainability, debt levels and debt due timeframe as well as any other relevant financials. Industrial reits and apartment reits have done very well for me, but do you have a preference between the two based on the current economic forecast? Lastly, could you identify the pros and cons of Canadian domiciled companies holding virtually all US assets?
Thank-you

Q: BSR (HOMu.TO) IPO'd in May 2018. The company looks interesting, nice 5% yield, class B garden style rentals. They buy older apartments, add amenities and increase rental rates.
Looks like a mini Milestone Apartment REIT. Wondering if you know if any analysts follow this story and if you think this might be a good apartment pick to replace some cash from the AAR.UN acquisition.
