Q: Hi 5i. I am interested in the lithium space. I have listed three stocks that I have found. Would you recommend this space and if so what would be your favourite? It doesn't have to be from my list.

Thanks again for your reasoned advice.

Q: As the demand for electric vehicles inevitably grows over the coming years the demand for certain metals will stretch the supply from current mines. Given how long it normally takes years to get new mines approved and operational I suspect that there are some mining companies with existing assets could be well placed to take advantage of this probable market gap. Do you have any thoughts or suggestions? Thanks.

Q: SQM seems to be having environmental assessment problems. I believe the mine pumps up a lithium brine ground water. I think this water is allowed to evaporate in the desert sun to produce a lithium rich concentrate. Not sure if they inject water back into the ground to replace what has been taken out. That would add considerable expense to the whole operation. Do you feel SQM's mining operation is sustainable? The share price of SQM looks to be quite volatile over the past 10 years. I'm guessing demand is increasing slowly and the stock volatility has more to do with investor's short term passion followed by lack of passion for lithium. In addition I suppose SQM is a material's company so volatility comes with the territory. I remain undecided on the company and any thoughts you might have would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

Q: I see Lithium and related stocks have taken quite a beating as supply has overstripped demand. However long term growth in electric car and required batteries seems to bode well for the industry. Any lithium stocks you recommend at this time for a longer term hold? Prefer companies with production or close to versus speculative...

Q: With the growing interest in production of electric vehicles, what are your favourite producers (miners) for battery metals such as silver, copper, nickel, and lithium? I added silver since solar energy will help power the vehicle producers.

Q: Hi.

I want to invest in a Mining company that engages in copper mining as well as other minerals. I have been reading alot about the renewable energy market and I feel as though copper, aluminum, lithium, cobalt, as well as other minerals linked to renewable energy will be continuing to grow in demand. I know that as a commodity Copper is low right now. I was looking for a shorter term investment (1 to 3 years) as well as a longer term investment (5 to 10 years) in a good mining company that mines for minerals linked to renewable energy. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks

Rob

Q: It looks like electric powered vehicles are an inevitable winner as we continue to struggle with climate change. The need for better batteries to power these vehicles also seems inevitable. It seems like an investment in this trend is a winner. My question is, how would 5i suggest we as members take advantage of this opportunity? Please suggest some areas to focus on and what you consider to be the best companies in each area to invest in. Again, thank-you for your considered opinions.

Q: Hi, I am coming to you after reading Market Masters. Thank you for your trustworthy work and this wonderful website. I have some US funds, and am looking at two stocks: Sociedad Quimica Y Minera De Chile SA ADR  (SQM) and Aerojet Rocketdyne Holdings Inc  (AJRD). Specifically, I am looking for something that has a lot of room to grow, but as always, want to consider safety first! Thank you for any input!
