Q: Hi 5i,
I am looking at adding OSB in my dividend portfolio. I see it is trading around P/E=4.2 with a yield of about 17%. Is yield safe and have they cut yield in the past? Is their debt manageable? Is the low price just due to the current low demand for building products? What sector does OSB fit into? Is their any growth in the future?
Thanks for your views on this company.

Q: I am comfortable having about 10% of my non-registered account in the forest products sector. About 55% of this amount is Norbord and the other 45% is split about evenly among Canfor, Interfor and West Fraser. Norbord pays a good dividend; the others don't. Would you suggest any consolidation or rebalancing here or changes that might improve upside potential? All four are down relative to original purchase so any adjustments here would only trigger tax losses.

Q: 2 questions
west fraser and norbord, do not own, totally beaten down, would you take a position and is this beat down justified.
yangarra and tamarack, have small position in both, my main oil holding being parex as you suggest.with tax loss selling should i let tamarack and yangarra go,, and revisit in january, i know i am giving them away, but these 2 could go a lot lower. dave

Q: I am getting beat up by the above companies --all down 20 to 27%.
I am not comfortable with these kind of losses--usually bail out around 10%
Which proves to be a mistake sometimes.
What is your reccomendation SELLor HOLD and for how long if you are suggesting I hold.
Thanks
Peter

Q: I understand that OSB would drop by $4.50 when it paid out the special dividend but do not understand why it has continued to fall in share price. Do you have some knowledge of what is happening? Also, if there is no good reason, would it be a good time to add some to my portfolio?

Q: Re OSB announcing a "dividend of $4.5/share to shareholders of record Sept 1"
....I can't tell whether that is meant to be an ANNUAL or ONE TIME dividend?
.. Are you able to clarify?
Also, could you please comment on the listed stocks...which do you hold most favourable and why, also the suitability of purchase of any of these NOW
Thank-you
