Q: Hi, I need to pull some money out of my TFSA and would love your thoughts on what to sell. I'm looking at TOY, NFI, and EIF as my "flatliners" (I haven't had them long). Do you have advice about which to drop, or perhaps they'll all shine in the end so I should just trim each one? I will be able to buy back mid-year. Thanks!

Q: Hi Peter and Team,

Thank you for all the great work that you put in. My daughter's RESP is doing quite well thanks to your model portfolios.

Currently in my TFSA, I am holding DSG, FTS, NFI and WPK. I would like to add a fifth stock to my portfolio. The time frame for the TFSA is 10+ years. Any suggestions to increase the diversification?

Thanks in advance.

Marvin

Q: In a large cash acct, I have 1 loser-Surge. Based on existing losses & my opinion that it will take several years to break even, I plan to use the loss against similar gains in one of two existing stocks that have not shown much upward movement over the last year or so. They are BCE & LNR. Obviously, BCE has the much larger dividend but, LNR has likely more upside. Your opinion & rationale is valued. Thank you.

Q: Hi,

I purchased DIS just over a year ago at $111.58 USD. It closed today at $111.30 USD, showing that I'm down 4.4% in my BMOInvestorline brokerage account.

Math isn't my forte but that unrealized loss doesn't sound accurate to me. Is it somehow a reflection of the currency fluctuations? I don't understand.

Thanks,
Robert

Q: When doing my research, I have a defined method that includes 5I views but also Morningstar (for Quantitative view) Thomson Reuters for fundamental views and forward looking views and if buying USA stocks Bloomberg. Recently my brokerage made S&P research available and I am finding contradictions in how seemingly same facts are both viewed and presented. There are several quantitative S&P views on stocks that give "sell" ratings while the others give positive ratings. I was wondering if you use any of these sites for information an if you have a bias towards one being more accurate then another. Thanks Jim

Q: Am considering adding a half position of each to my wife's TFSA. She already owns ALA, BCE, CPG, and RY. What do you think of their future earnings next quarter? Would you suggest another alternative to either one?
Thanks Jack
